When I see something like this, I think about making that big background - almost all the same stitch, all the same color, and I know it would drive me crazy to make! I'd get so tired of that! Congratulations on sticking with it and making a really cute ladybug! :ladybug

Crochetrea--it is from the Herrschners kit. The yarn is good old red heart super save. Plenty of yarn left over. I didn't use any of the white skein as I had some stash. I thought the pattern was fairly easy to follow, too.
