Victorian business card holder

I've been wanting to make this pattern for years, finally got to it. After another thread business card holder was posted awhile back, I got the itch again. This is something for me personally for a change.

I love it!! I've been interested in thread crochet for years. But I've always been afraid to crochet with such small yarn and hooks. I got close to starting, I di buy the hooks. This may be the perfect project to start with. The thread crochet with names in it is also very beautiful.

amdm - I do nothing by my own design! My creative juices don't flow in that direction. The pattern is in Annie's Crochet Newsletter, Nov/Dec 1992. It's a little embarrassing to admit that's how long it's been on my to-do list!

 

hhensler - I did use spray starch when I blocked it to hold it's shape.
