Stained Glass Afghan- a little modified.

For a charity raffle, it had to be something eye catching. It is on the cover of "50 Sensational Crochet Afghans & Throws." I changed the color scheme just a little, and the outline stitch, and added a border from Jean Leinhauser.

Wow -- that is gorgeous! I bought the book just for that pattern but reading through it ... have to confess, it seems a little daunting! I will get to it eventually though. It is just too pretty not to try. Hope mine turns out a fraction as well as yours! Just beautiful!!!

very beautiful. I also did one of these but changed the colors up big time. I am not a red/yellow person. Love the different border on it, may have to try it next time.

 

fot those wondering about the pattern it is super easy, well i find it was. the only thing i do suggest it to work each row across all squares before doing the next. I did 1 square start to finish to make sure it would work out for me but then i did the rest all at once.
