I have made some progress today and thought I would update my list. Although adding the Mystery CAL probably isn't progress. And then I thought of two more lines to add. Oh well. Cross one off, add one on. :blush

1. Finish round ripple (2 rows left) - Complete

2. Coaster set for coworker - Complete

3. Kitchen set for friend's mom's b-day. - about 2/3 done

4. Frogging of (known) UFOs. - done

5. Complete 1 UFO (approx 15-20 rows) that would be good to send for VJGC.

6. 2 Waves ghans (each approx 1/4 complete)

7. KISS Coaster swap (Partners assigned later this week)

8. Mystery CAL - starts tomorrow

9. Two purses I started about 3 weeks ago - each approx 1/3 done.

10. Two baby blankets I started about 4 weeks ago - each approx 1/3 done.

I am going to have to stop thinking about this list. It keeps growing.

So far this week I've had a bit on (specialist doctor visit for me on Monday, and for my daughter today) so haven't done as much as I'd hoped.....

1) Baby Ripple Blanket (only have to weave in a couple of ends and finish the border)

2) Sort out stash ((the tubs have made it into the house, and are in the way - so this has to be done tomorrow)

3) Frog open work throw I started about 5 years ago - then later start on Mum and Dad's flannelghan (ready for when the house is built)

4) If yarn arrives finish 2 round ripple blankets (1 has 2 rows to go, and the other 4)

5) Work on square baby blanket (I'm only about half way into this, but I'm really enjoying this one so I'll leave it til last as an incentive ;) )

Well, I finished my ripple blanket :cheer how exciting. I thought it best to be crocheting not stash-sorting now that Bub's in bed :yes, which worked out really well, I got all the ends weaved in :clap.

So here it is in all it's glory......

Close up, it's a bit hard to see from the pic, but the yarn has a sparkly kinda thread through it.

Oh, and I thought I might share a pic of me, Bub and our dogs, enjoying the lovely Autumn weather. I like to spend as much time outdoors as I can with Lara, especially on days like today when she has to see the specialist doctor.

Hope you like - good luck with day 3 of WIP week. My aim tomorrow is to not pick up a hook until my tubs of yarn are sorted and back in the shed!!!

mum2lara your ripple is gorgeous!

OK, I'm a bad WiPersnapper :blush I wasn't starting anything new until I had some WiPs under control & then my friend Toni sent me some doily patterns as I've never made a doily before....I have now! Started last night & finished this morning so it won't go in the UFO pile. :cheer

and now back to our scheduled programme - one more square to finish my blanket :lol

That is a beautiful ripple blanket, Miranda and I love the pic of you and the dogs and the baby outdoors. Looks like a great place to spend the day!

My progress is slow but at least I'm working on my WIPs.

- finish an ugly (IMO), small, scrap squares afghan - just need to do two more rounds of edging. I haven't quite gotten the hang of joining squares nicely :(. - Got one row done yesterday, one to go!

- finish a little pink sweater that just needs a sleeve and some embellishments and then make a little hat to match.

- find out if I have any navy yarn left to finish a BICO I made the body of many moons ago, edge it and add a button or two - if I don't have the yarn to finish it (the risk of WIPs), I'll frog it.

- wash the three blankets I've just (or just about finished) - two of them are going to a nearby Project Linus drop off box--perhaps I'll put a trip over there on my 'to do' list as well.

I'm off to a fieldtrip with my daughter's preschool class this morning at a nature centre. It is raining here and there is supposed to be a hike portion (I hope they cancel that part!).

Have a great day!

:rofl That is too funny!

Miranda, your ripple is gorgeous!! I love the pic of you all outside. Looks like the perfect day to sit outside and enjoy the weather.

Last night I finished my pineapple shawl.

th_crochetstuff002.jpg

The bad news is that I had about 1/2 skein left of the yarn so I decided to start a FBB with it. :lol I already have the handles so I am hoping to finish that one today. Then maybe work on my house-elf ami. I also remembered last night that dh asked me to add a couple of rows to his afghan so I will have to do that, too.

So lets see...

1) pineapple shawl- finished.

2) box up scraps for Scrappy Swap.

3) work on house-elf ami.

4) finish FBB.

5) add rows to dh afghan.

Miranda, love the ripple afghan. Lara looks like she's watching how to crochet so she can do it one day. Looks beautiful out there.

Love the purple shawl.

Um.

I may have been wrong earlier, this may have to go beyond a week. I don't know what I was thinking... I found 13 black squares for something I'm thinking an afghan I decided to leave as a lapghan. Decided not to frog the squares. Wasn't sure what to do with them. Decided on a scarf. Decided to edge each one in white. I did a continious join so I wouldn't have to wip stitch. Now I have the ends of each square, the ends of each boarder to weave in... :P I brought that to work today to do at lunch. And only that... unless I decide to go shopping:devil. not for yarn... although there is a craft store a few blocks from here, easy enough to walk to.... :lol. Okay I won't go there...

Good work ladies. I love the ripple and the shawl.:manyheart

It is interesting how much you can clear up when you have a short period of focus.

As for extending the CAL, I will be here as long as people are posting their progress.

I think maybe I need to spend time on my scarves for May so that I am not too late getting them posted. :whew

My list just keeps getting longer. I made a set of coasters for a coworker. Now she has requested 4 sets of coasters and 20 beaded bookmarks for Mother's day gifts for her church group. :eek I don't mind doing them of course but this will never get rid of my list. :blush

I guess having several projects going at once is just the way things go. :think Why else would we all be participating in this CAL.

The good thing is that my stash has been sorted and I have all WIPs organized.:bounce Also, I am having tons of fun and getting things done that might have stayed in the back of the closet indefinitely. :cheer

Now if I could just make it through the rest of the work day I could go home, grab my :hook and spend the evening :crocheting

Darski does deserve a :ty . Mine are more organized then ever before and I'm getting them done. Those 12 black squares have been around for a loooong time, put away. Now it's going to be a pretty scarf.

I will need to start some new things in May, but will put time aside to work on WIPs most definately. Wasn't there a WIP Wednesday CAL or something? Maybe Wednesday and Saturday... or something.

Instead of working on the MAM like I said I would, I discovered the plarn doormat I have been working on for almost a month (and left in a plastic bag). Since we are having extraordinary heat to be followed by storms, I figured I should work on the doormat first. Makes sense, right?

I finished the pet bed!!! I am very happy with it. I would post a picture, but I think my 16-year-old son has claimed it (hopefully for his cat -- I don't think he'd fit in it.) I can't find it any where! Sadly, I started another project today. I left my only K-hook in the car my husband drove to work, so I had to do something with a smaller hook. I guess I need to add that to my list, eh?

1. finish the pet bed, FINISHED!

2. finish two hats

3. make squares for my Irish chain afghan. (I doubt I can finish that in one week.)

4. work on my knitted scarf -- my first knitted project which is PAINFULLY slow for me.

5. scrap pillow to match the scrap afghan I recently completed.

Tomorrow is supposed to be much cooler here in Boston, with some more :sun... sounds like a perfect day to :crocheting to me! :D

Wow! Look at all you've accomplished Kelly and ScoobyDoo0811! Very nice!

Here are my accomplishments today:

- finish an ugly small, scrap squares afghan - one round to go!

- finish a little pink sweater that just needs a sleeve and some embellishments and then make a little hat to match.

- find out if I have any navy yarn left to finish a BICO - frogged it

- wash the three blankets I've just (or just about finished) - one blanket washed today

Feels good:cheer!
