    Cardigan

Okay I am working on a cardigan from the May/June issue of Crochet Today from 2009. The problem I am having problems with so far is beginning the yoke here are the directions: beginning at cuff edge, sew first 6"/15cm of side edges of sleeves together. With wrong side facing, join yarn with sl st in top corner of one front piece. Hold all pieces with wrong sides facing when working the joining row. In row 1, place markers between the last stitch, not into a stitch. Now what does that mean? Another question I have is on row 1 (wrong side-joining row) Ch3, dc in each st across to last 2 stsof front piece, leave these 2 sts unworked, place a marker; pick up a sleeve and sk first 2 sts of sleeve, dc in each st across to last 2 sts of sleeve, leave these 2 sts unworked, place a marker; pick up the back and sk first 2 sts of back, dc in each st across to last 2 sts of back, leave these 2 sts unworked, place a marker; pick up the other sleeve and sk first 2 sts of sleeve, leave these 2 sts unworked, place a marker; pick up the other front piece and sk first 2 sts of front piece, dc in each st across front piece 216 sts. Move markers up as work progresses what does this mean? Thanks for the help
  5. I will be back to this thread next week. Grandma gave me a lot of yarn so haven't counted the stash yet. Plus my daughter is going to counseling now,and I am doing online classes so that has took up my time a lot of reading to do.

    Finishing

Okay I am working on a pattern from lionbrand.com. It is a tote bag I am stuck on the finishing instructions where it says to Fold the gusset in half, pin at the center bottom, pin the sides in place. Working from right side, starting at the top edge, with smaller hook and CC, working through both layers, work sc down one side, along the bottom, up the other side. Work the other side to correspond. Sew the side pockets in place on the gusset. Now my question is Where does the gusset go? Thanks for the help http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/HookedBags.html
  14. used a skein of yarn +2 so far this week.
