Wanted to share this with those who appreciate all that goes into thread crochet. I'm very proud of this one.

It was my first large thread project and took me almost a year to finish.

Absolutely breathtakeing!!!! You did a fantastic job, this is one pattern I have been thinking of makeing... What size thread and hook did you use? if you don't mind my asking?? I have been wanting to make it with size 20.

I used a size 7 steel hook with size 10 thread. I can't seem to get use to using small size 20 or 30 thread. My fingers don't want to work.

The name is Cathedral Window - I found it on the following site:

Let me know how it goes.

Can any of you tell me what the name of this pattern is? My grandmother did it for me when I was born and it's in need of repair. I really want to find it or chart/write dow the pattern myself.

No the pattern was very easy to follow. I'm working on the a bedspread for my daughter at the moment. It's for her wedding.

habetlerm: that is gorgeous....looks very time consuming, too.

As for the pattern on the other pic, looks like some filet crochet. As a matter of fact, I have the rose pattern on one of my tablecloth patterns.

I just don't have the patience for large items like that and certainly not for anything with motifs, so I am certainly impressed with your tablecloth!

You have created a family heirloom to be proud of! I hope you put a tag on it for future generations!
