First biday card arrived today!! From our own ms carol!! THANK Y OU, of course i love them all!!! pic to come!! i also have those pics ready to post, of the 8 inch ghan i completed, and the two baby ghans, don't know what i did with the 6 inch ghan one though, oh yeah, it's in anorher bin, pic of that to come later, doing those ghans, used up all the 6 and 8 inch squares i had on hand, till Ms. Carol's arrived today!!! They are all very pretty, my favorite being the pink and tan varigated one, lol thank you again, here is that pic[

Finally a sunny day here, but it was a bit windy. Not much to report. I did finish the duster and it came out nicely considering it was a project I had no intention of starting at all in Dec.

Howieann- 15" of snow? Wow....we are to get some Friday night and Sunday.

I love the afghan- Snowbear; and all the finished items-Bgs. Scented yarn doesn't really bother me but I can understand the odor being annoying.

Jade is adorable and that's great she is gaining weight.

Couldn't sleep well last night so I am up showered and dressed.

I don't babysit today so I need to accomplish a lot somehow. Hopefully a

Nap in there somewheres.

Headed out to the doctors with daughter. She has been having migraines and

He wants her to get blood work done. Need to get it done and back home for other daughter

To head off to college.

I cleaned like crazy yesterday. Got a new sweeper as the last one broke! Was lots of dust where it's been so muddy outside and our dogs going in and out. Actually got straw put down, so it will cut down on the mud wonderfully!!!

 

Took a nap today so I could come to work tonight. .. Little Tribble is running another fever...

 

Got some awesome squares from hersey08. I think these are my most favorite colors together!!!!!! Could I ask what colors and yarn you used. I might have to get me some!

 

Who know why it's showing up sideways! It's right side up on my tablet.

Carol! I got my puffy today! Thank you thank you! I'll post pictures tomorrow. It's going to be a picture heavy post!

 

I've got one more minion block done so only 1 more and I've got until the 19th to finish it completely. I'd like to add Peanut's name to it, but we'll see how time goes. So this weekend is working on that and birthday squares in between and hopefully I can make a trip to the post office tomorrow.

 

We were supposed to go to lunch with our grandmother tomorrow and her sisters but it's an hour and a half drive and it's snowing right now. They're calling for up to 5". Sister and I both said, it would be one thing if it was just us but adding Peanut to it makes it a different situation.

 

Okay off to bed. I'll be back tomorrow!

Remember me???  I received the most wonderful puffy in the mail yesterday from Carol!  Thank you so much for thinking of me.  The squares are absolutely gorgeous!  I feel so bad that I haven't been able to visit lately.  I miss you all so much.  I am starting to get some strength back, so fingers crossed that I will be visiting on a regular basis again soon.  Hugs to all.

ow everyone makes such lovely squares, the talent in this thread just oozes all over!!

Im hoping those of you getting snow, are safe and warm and tucked inside for the night, it's pretty mild weather here, so can't complain i guess... I have develped a nagging tickle with this cold, hope it doesn't keep me up tonight!! Ive been bathing my throat in hot tea, and honey, looks like i jmay have to do that again shorlty, lol

 

duaghter had a sotry to tell, seems they needed a couple pieces of luggage for thier trip, mine has long since been borrowed out so much, i don't know where it is really anymore, lol so she stopped at a couple places, and right in line in front of her, a fight actually broke out, with women, fighting over a throw rug!! She coulnd't believe it, and was sure if she bought her things there aned walked out to her car, the would come and rob her too!! but she held her ground, she does not scare easily,and she watched her back on the way out,and until she left the lot, was she able to breathe normally!!

 

sigh, afraid to go anywhere anymore, what with all the walgreens being robbed for drugs, and even the grocery stores, crime seems to be up.....Handyman acn her hubby, both warned he,next get the hec outta there, or dial 911, which even the dlerk didn't think to do, she just took the rugs away,and said there, no one gets them now!! ???

 

anyway, nice squares being had and made, thanks for the nice comments on the ghans, finished up another baby ghan today, was just a big granny square and turned out really pretty, had some caon pounder in pink, and RHss soft white I wanted to use up,mission accomplished, lol

 

I have it pakcked up in a plastic bag, hope i remember to photo it before it goes off to it's new home!!I should be mailing off my puffies to the bday girls mid march, and then start on april, ha ha ha........

 

 

ann so happy to hear from you, glad you are gaining strength, it's been a lone time since youve been in, and we missed you!! Are you still collecting the squares, or do you would you prefer a scarf for your charity instead??

 

owlvamp really was up early the other day, lol, makes for a long day, huh.. I don't usually nap at all in the day, just can't, but you had better fit one in if you are going to be up that early, and stay up all day,lol

 

well, bout it, looking forward to my tea, and toast in a bit, last one i tried, i got a tea sampler with lots of diff teas in it for a Christmas gift.. and so far, liked all i have tasted, the lemon zest is excellent for this cold, and i liked the orange pekoe, the vanilla, the green tea was good, and will try a new one tonight..I have to get some cinamon sugar grahm crackers, to dip them into, like we did whe wer were kids, grammy was english, and we had tea time at least twice a day, lol, and i never liked it much, but have come around a bit lately, specially when your throat needs something soothing!! that and chicken noodle soup, is in my get better arsonal as well, lol and we have lot of oranges in the frige to help too, so we just have to wait it out....hope you are all healthy and well, and will see you tomorrow!!

Katie, I hope you start feeling better soon. Hot tea really does help! Especially with lots of honey. 

 

I sure wish I could remember everything I had typed up the other night. I don't have a daggone clue. Must not have been important! 

 

Okay pictures. Lots of pictures. 

 

First, a picture of my squares from Carol.    I adore them!

 

And the hearts DH and I made at our class. Later this month we have flowers and eggs (I think I have to do both!) and next month are small vases! DH's is the aqua and green, mine is aqua and pink. 

 

Peanut has learned to take selfies, as long as you hand him the phone with the camera on anyway. It's his favorite thing! This was in Sister's car on the way home from Walmart one day. I handed him my phone and just hear "click click click" from the backseat. I even got a short video. Lol 

 

Hanging out with Peanut while Sister had a doctor's appointment. More selfies! It's the only time he'll sit still. 

 

I think that's all the pictures for now... I'll have plenty more once I get pictures taken of all these projects I'm halfway through and the virus shawl I just finished.

I've missed a couple days because I've been busy. Thursday night I was at school until 8:30 pm because we had a family event and I was part of the planning committee. Last night was lots of fun, I went to dinner and the new movie Zootopia with family, It was a long day but so worth it. Today I think we are just going to take it easy, we do need to make a trip to AC Moore and the grocery store for a couple of things.

Hi all! Dropping by to say hi and I miss you all! I haven't had a chance to get on lately, or crochet much either for that matter. I've been helping my mom paint and decided to get a bit of a head start on my spring cleaning...or throwing out old stuff I have no need of any more, depending on how you look at it except the yarn, crochet cotton, and other various items that are craft related. Which is almost half of the basement Other random objects, including clothing (just not all of it), are getting either thrown out or donated, depending on its condition. And that alone has me frazzled as I have quite a bit to go thru. But then, I'll have more room for yarn! Yay!

 

Ok, enough about me! I hope everyone is well or quickly mending! I miss you all and shall hioefully be on more often in the near future! Super s for all!!!

Hi katie, how you doing, missed you, glad you are back, and seeming to be so busy cleaning up and such, takes time, but you will get it all done soon, and enjoy the clean, lol and less clutter, i hate clutter, lol

Sharon, I'm glad the squares made it to you. The squares from Brenda are very pretty, she always makes such pretty squares.

 

We had a fun and busy day yesterday. We celebrated my grandson's birthday at Legoland. It was our first trip to Legoland and the kids really enjoyed it. Then we went to Disney Springs and had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants at Disney's Fort Wilderness campground. We left at 7:30 am and got home at 10:30 pm. Today I will be heading home and back to work tomorrow. I did get a good bit of crocheting done on the drive to Legoland, I should have the shawl I'm working on finished soon. Guess that's about it for me. Hope everyone has a great day.

evening all, how goes it all with you?? Was a long day, up early, after very little sleep, this cough got me up at least 4 or 5 times through out the night, sheesh, well, im ready for it tonight, i got some cough meds, and some mucinex today, and hope one day, to lose this horrible cold/virus, whatever, it's really wearing me out, lol..

 

handydan coughed in between my coughs, so we both really go very little sleep, and plus this, it was so hot in this house that i hated to do this so soon, but I had to turn on the ac, sheesh, maybe i had a bit of a fever too, i don't know, just was not a very good time last night for sleeping, tonight though, will be better...

 

I cleaned out what I could reach in the closet, lol and thinned down some things, so the count of bins went down by maybe, 1 or 2, looks a lot better, more room for what was intended, clothes, lol....

 

im going tgo swith out comforters/quilts tomorrow, just didn't have it in me today, and put on a summer quilt, lighter, and cooler for the warmer nights we will get soon, all week looks like summer for sure with the temps above normal all week long.

 

 

 

we had some chicken casserold tonight, lots left over, won't have to worry about supper for a couple days,no doubt. till its all gone, ih ope.  Oh gosh, Bgs, got a puffy from you yesterday, got four lovely squares, and two goegeous fancy scarves, one in black and one in white, which will go to good use when the weather gets cold, they are lovely, you do such lovely work, i haven't snapped a pic yet, but will try to do that tomorrow, just lovely!! thank you so much brenda,you always amaze me with your pretty things, speaking of which, pretty squares up there ladies, nice work, carol and bgs!!

 

I have most of March's squares made, just have to lay in some supplies to mail them lol, pack them, and send them, but I have a little while yet. and welcome back sharbysyd, you have some lovely squares there!! Carol, sounds like a lovely bdy parrty, happy birthday day to the grandson as well!

 

feeling ok, but a little bit puny yet, i wear out easity, and have to rest on big jobs, lol like that closet, but sure wanted to get that done, change of seasons, and all you know.ihave anothe baby ghan started, not sure if I will continue on it,lol,or start on something else. seems baby ghans always go so fast at the shelter,so I do them when i can,to try to keep up.
