October lampshade covers

I was sitting and looking at my lampshades, and thinking I want new ones for the fall.

 

So I got out my patter, that the others were made from and then sat and pondered the colors. There would be cream of course and perhaps orange or red and definetely brown. Couldn't make up my mind, so I asked my color coordinator to help. He decided on the orange for the flowers.

 

Off I went with pattern and colors in had. I finished the first and thought there was something different and not sure if I liked it. The original pattern has 12 motifs, I have on the new one about double that. I also added 4 rows to make it longer.

 

I got the pattern a long time ago from Freepatterns.com it is called Tasseled Lamp Shade. If you scan down the page, you will find it. This is the third set I have made.

Very, very pretty! I would love to have something like that to change with the seasons however, with 5 kitties that would just be asking for trouble!

That is just a fantastic Idea. Just by changing the covering it's like you have a whole new lamp. What a great way to give a fresh new look. It looks great to.
