Im starting on a few squares for the Community Care Center and Im using a acrylic wool blend and an H hook which is recomended for the pattern, Well it turned out about 2 inches smaller than what its supposed to be (Im using the Supernova pattern ) I guess Ill have to fudge it and make it 12 Inches :lol

 

Its also KatieBug's first non granny pattern and Shes not using an actual pattern, Im just showing her how to make it since she has trouble reading patterns :cheer shes doing pretty darn good :cheer

 

Ill have her post a pic of it when shes done with it :) then to figure out who shes gonna send it to hers is also smaller than 12" :lol

Just when I was ready to work on some squares I mess up my shoulder. Its better than it was this morning, but still can't use my arm much. :(

Hello ladies!! I didn't get a chance to read all the posts yet but I did see someone mentioning my sister's comfortghan and I do still need some more squares. Not quite sure how many as I can't remember how many I already have, and have been haveing some health issues lately so I will get them out soon and count to be sure how many I'm so lazy lol. Anyways I wish you all an amazing rest of the day!

that happens to me all the time, sometimes I even go up a hook size and it still turns out too small, but I am a very uptight crocheter :lol

Just got back from dropping the little 2 off at preschool, and on our walk back we (katie and i ) got escorted home by a lovely butterfly. It kept landing on the ground right by our feet. It did it about 10 times and flew off. :)

What is the name of the square and the book or source its from that you did for Rene's husband's comfortghan? I thought it looked very elegant in those colors.

Welcome to the new person :D! It's always good to have new ppl join. Also a BIG thank you goes out to Susan for the awesome square and the beautiful card I received today! The colors you used on the square are actually two of my fave colors :P.

I know! I just love love love it and all my squares :manyheart. I can't wait until I can send squares again this weekend should be able to again and I am so excited to get more squares out :D!

I love it! The colors are WOW!!

 

Would any one like to do a book swap?

 

I have lots of books that I would love to share, and when we finish the book pass it along to someone else with a note and a list of whos had it and where its been.

And of course send a square or 2 to the next person to recieve it.Or something from their wish list or just a small note to say hi :)

And If you decide to keep the book pass along one of your own with a new list of names.

There wont be a time limit just something to do for fun. I can print out a list of names and addresses to send with it and when you recieve it highlight your name on the list

 

If any one is interested just PM me and I will get your address of the CAL list. If your name isnt on the list that I have ill PM you for it :)

 

Like novels?? Sorry, but if that's what you mean I'm out. I have a Kindle. No "real" books here.

 

I think I'm going to have some pattern books to give away. And maybe some bags. I have so many that I have a few that are lightly used that need new homes.
