Thanks for the welcome into your group, Rose -

You certainly made a good pattern when you made this one --- it's been really popular for a long time !

I guess I'll be yarn shopping soon ! Gotta think about colors . Something tells me that one of my colors will be green. Not sure on the other one yet .

ok gang, you talked me into it. flannelghan will now be on the list. I HAVE to finish my other one on the pirate ship before moving over here, but I will go get the yarn today for this. Not sure yet on colors. I have an idea, but not totally decided on it yet .

I'll drop in here and let you know what I end up choosing .

This afghan have been on my WIM list for too lonnnnng... I will join in when I am ready.

My question is anyone ever make it in cotton yarn ? I am sure it's rather heavy.

I need to find a way to make a light-weighted but dense flannelghan for los angeles' winters. I would love to make one for my best friend.

Well, then - I guess it's a good thing I love company! :ghug

Thank you guys, so much for the compliments. You really know how to make a girl feel loved :manyheart

Honestly, I don't have it in me right now to continue hosting a cal. I've asked JulieKay if she would mind taking over hosting it :hook but I haven't heard back from her yet. I do hope she says :yes

I have so much going on with my health right now. I finally got into a new rheumy who knows what he's doing. He's sending me to all different specialists and running blood and tests. Of course - I live so far out in the boonies that it's an 80 - 100 mile round trip every single time I have to go into 'town' for these appts.

Friday I have an MRI on my head and neck. They want to rule out aneurysm/tumor in my head and see if I have nerve impingement in my neck. I've been having blinding migraines.

The idiot at the lab didn't draw enough blood so they didn't run the ANA. Now I have to wait 2 more weeks to see if it's positive for auto-immune disorders. The doc is convinced I have one - just needs the blood work to narrow it down to which one I have. The big "L" word keeps coming up and all I can think about is poor Jobug.

The doc said I have the same thing that she does that attacked her tear ducts - just have to do the biopsy to 'prove' it.

Physical therapy is kicking my backside. I have to rebuild the muscles because whatever it is I have is attacking the tendons and they're stretching out and not holding my joints in place anymore. I actually had to cut my hair above my shoulders (from my brastrap) cuz I can't hold my arms up long enough to wash and condition it when it's that long.

So..... that's where I'm at right now. It's really not a very good place. There is awesome news tho! Hubby's switching jobs to a better one. So, in the middle of all this - we'll have 90 days of no insurance. I'm glad I have Medicare!

So..... JulieKay - PLEASE take over hosting for me?

I'm going to make a baby flannelghan - will start it for the Greek Games thread here on the 12th. It'll be a good way to get my feet wet with the pattern - I've been lurking long enough!:lol

Hi, everyone. I spent last night and this morning looking at all the pictures from the first thread, and I think I'm in love!:manyheart what a great blanket. I like how it can look fun, elegant and everything in between, just by changing the colors. I also appreciate the fact that it looks like a nice easy project to work on while visiting with my family and friends. (No, I'm not being rude, my mil, and sil always have a craft project in hand, when we get together. However, I tend to be working on things that make me need to count to myself.)

I want to make some baby flannel ghans to donate to the local pregnancy resource center. I just need to finish my current project before I start.
