Elegant Chenille Shawl

I made this for a very special friend and since she just HAD to see a picture of it, I can share with you her shawl. It's made with Lion Brand Chenille, using THIS pattern.

I'm sure I've looked at that pattern a dozen times and I would never have considered making it until now. It really is pretty! How much Chenille did it take and did you use the recommended hook?

Stacy - I used Lion Brand Chenille and I believe it took about 6 skeins. I also used the recommended hook for the chenille, not the F as is stated in the pattern. Hook has to match the yarn

Wow, that is beautiful!! Love the pattern and the color. For some reason I can't connect to the pattern--it keeps freezinf my computer and making it shut down, but my pc is kind of temperamental, so I'll check the pattern out later (need to see if something I can do). wow glad to see it has been made as my neighbour was trying to make it but the pattern did not work out right with the rows when she got to 7 and 8 there was no space to miss before the turning ch on row 7. you did a great job

Hmmm, I don't remember having any problems with the pattern but I tend to fix things that aren't there without even thinking about it. So I may have added in an extra stitch or interpreted it the way it had to be to work out.

I've loved that pattern for a long time, but since the picture was so small it wasn't a pattern I thought I'd try for a while. But now that I see the whole thing and how great it turns out... another thing to add to my pile of WIPs!
