The woman wearing it also designed it - 'on the fly' - no pattern. I adore it, particularly the asymetrical zipper. I've got to make myself one!

I've just started crocheting, and I have to say I haven't been a huge granny square fan...my friend tried to teach me, and I did do one almost successfully, but I LOVE THAT SWEATER!!!!! That just might make me want to give it another try!

 

ETA: How did you get the sleeve bottoms to flare out like that...LOVE IT!!!

i normally am not a fan of granny squares either, but i can see that sweater done up in black chenille squares with the zipper being where it is. well it would be awesome. :D

Do you think it would be hard to install a zipper into crochet? Although I have been crocheting for 36 years, I have yet to try to put in a zipper out of ...........fear!!! and fear alone~~~ :eek
