Elfie's Shawl (Now with Link to Pattern)

Elfie is a dear friend who gifted me with 28 ounces of yellow mohair yarn a few years ago. First I made the One Stitch Sweater but I had enough yarn left over for another project so I made Elfie’s Shawl. Elfie lives in Florida so I knew she wouldn’t be able to use anything heavy. This shawl is worked in crossed double crochet rows alternating with single crochet rows. I added a little triangular border on the bottom. The pattern can be found on my blog, Wolf Crochet.

Thanks for the pattern! it is lovely.

A quick question about the stitch: when you are making the dc in the skipped stitch, do you insert the hook from front to back, like normal (which somewhat encases the first stitch)? or do you go around behind the first stitch to make the second one? I hope my question makes sense! thank you!
