Pineapple doily

I was bored. So I did another doily.

 

In the book it was a 'centre piece'.

But I took out the centre and just did the ends as a circle.

 

And I left off the picots cos I hate them.

 

20 inches across, done on a 1.75mm hook

That is gorgeous... It looks like a match to the table runner doily I made not long ago. Is there a book pattern for it somewhere?

The pattern came from a book called 'Crochet Lace'. It's a japanese book by Ondori (I think)

 

The actual pattern was for a 'centre peice'. But I just took the half circles at the ends and missed out the centre bit.

 

I love pineapples. They look so great but are so easy to do.
