I've never made a doily, but I'm getting interested in learning.

 

My question is, WHAT is a picot, and why doesn't anyone like them?

 

Is it that you don't like the LOOK? Or doing the actual stitch?

Personally, I don't like doing them. Probably because I am usually working in size 30 thread and, for me, they are difficult to make. Maybe if I used larger thread, they wouldn't be so bad.
