Irish crochet bookmarks

Both my sisters have February birthdays, so I made each a bookmark. This is the first time I've made any of these from this leaflet and they were really fun to do. It's the "Monogram & Lace Bookmarks" from Annie Potter Presents. Not real practical for use since they're so fat. Maybe they'll find a use for them. I'm thinking I may do one for my mom for Mother's Day this year.

They are beautiful, but they don't look very good to use for bookmarks, do they? Gorgeous work, though.

They are beautiful!! Pins, brooches, hat trim, fixed to a photo frame - so many possibilities to display them.

They are stunning! I think they would look fantastic as a brooch worn on a plain dark jacket.

Those are ABSOLUTELY beautiful.

 

They may not work as bookmarks, but I'm thinking that they would look lovely mounted on velvet or satin in a pretty gold frame where their beauty could be enjoyed. Just a thought!

Wow Susan those are incredible! You know what? You should do a bunch of them in colors and make a wall hanging...a little flower garden. Thanks for posting the picture..you're a VERY talented person!
