Promise True doily

Found this lovely pattern in one of my old magic crochet mags. (April 1991, Issue #71). Once I had finished up what felt like miles of lace (in perle cotton) for my kitchen valances, I wanted a somewhat quicker thread project. Going from perle cotton to size 10 thread (no band anymore, probably the cheap stuff from Hobby Lobby) made the size 10 feel like rope! :lol but it worked up fairly quickly. Only had to wait for the lace to finish its turn on the blocking board...

(the kitchen valances have yet to have the lace sewn on, so I can't show you that, yet)

So here it is... "Promise True"

Thank you, everyone, so much for all the nice words. Being chains and trebles, primarily, it works up surprisingly quickly for a doily that is close to 20+ inches. (I should measure it maybe, eh?)
