Our House Part Two

Just checking in before bed.  Spent the evening with John and Rosie.  They're really tired from all the doctor appointments this week.  John was worn out and frustrated that it's taking so much long than he thought it would to get back to normal.  He's only been home 2 weeks!  I think that the fact that this isn't going to be a quick recovery is finally sinking in.  Poor guy!  I took over pizza for supper and later gave him a gentle back rub.

Hi Ladies,

Mary, Your in my prayers. Glad DD went to see her Grandma. Those little ones can make us tired.

Linda, Glad you got a good nights sleep last night. Stay warm! We've had the heat on the last two mornings it's been so cold.

Val, Can't wait to see the monkey hat. Hubby use to collect sock monkeys. Maybe I should make some hats for them then we could give each of the grandkids one. Stay warm!

Cindy, Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Judy, When hubby had to go to the chiropractor last summer I talked to him about my problem. I use to go to him years ago. He didn't speak up and say he could treat that problem. I have wondered myself. He would be the one I would go to if I went as I've known him forever. But when this all started and I went for the nerve test. That doctor told me if you ever go to a chiropractor absolutely don't let him touch your neck. I know that there are doctors who don't believe in going to chiropractors, but I do. Mine has helped me many times.

Marisa, What is your opinion? Would the chiropractor be able to help me out? If I walked into your office would you treat my kind of problem or send me to pt?

Joanne, :clap a new yarn store!  How's Ryan feeling?

We are cooking breakfast in the morning. We're having Julie's favorite. Biscuits and gravy, bacon, eggs, juice and coffee.

The next town over had a brush fire burning out of control earlier today. It's in town and they evacuated many streets,  an rv park, animal shelter and the city garage. They told people not to take the time to grab anything. The news just said everyone is back home now and only 2 mobile homes were lost. Luckily no injuries.

My computer has turned itself off a few times and I thought it was probably just due to an update until it did it today and there wasn't no update going on. So I took the back off and couldn't believe the lint and dust that accumulated near the fan. That's even with using the can of air. It's very dusty down here so I'll have to be sure and check it when the computer starts getting warm again.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend. I know I have to do laundry sometime this weekend.

Good morning!

I've done my "need to do cleaning" already and am showered and laundry is on. The sun is shining and although it's chilly out, just having the sun streaming through the windows brightens the spirit (and shows the dust :lol )  I started the border on the ripple last night and will finish today.

Linda- I'm sure John is frustrated, and that was so nice of you to bring over pizza. I'm sure he really appreciated the back rub!

Marlene- Glad that no one was hurt in the brush fire! Enjoy breakfast- my favorite meal (when someone else is cooking it) ;)

Cindy- I hope you are feeing better today and not getting sick.

Mary- Prayers for your Mom

Val- DD's due date is the 14th---but she went 10 days early with Ryan- so you never know.  She asked for one of my rocking chairs (from my Mom/Dad's house).  She wants to keep the glider in Ryan's room. I told her she could pick whichever one she wants. I'd like to de clutter some of my furniture anyway- so this is perfect!

Heading out in a bit to run errands- I'm sooooo glad the sun is shining!!!!

Hope you ALL have a great Saturday!

Good afternoon Housemates!

I've been sitting at the computer since 8 am and didn't realize the time!

It is cold, windy and cloudy here.

Linda, that was soo sweet of you to take them dinner and give John a back rub!  I hope you don't have to go out today.  It is cold and very windy outside.  If you can, make this a "Me" day.  Take care of yourself.

Good morning!

I've done my "need to do cleaning" already and am showered and laundry is on. The sun is shining and although it's chilly out, just having the sun streaming through the windows brightens the spirit (and shows the dust :lol )  I started the border on the ripple last night and will finish today.  We don't have any sunshine.  It's cold and windy here.  Thank God I didn't have to get up and drive at 4:45am.  DGN & DNep are out of school and work today.  Everybody is off tomorrow :yay

Does anyone live in your parent's house?  I think it's good that she can use her DGP's stuff.

Heading out in a bit to run errands- I'm sooooo glad the sun is shining!!!!  Glad you got sunshine after having to work inside all week.

Hope you ALL have a great Saturday! Boomeranging the wish back at you!  Will you get to see Ryan today?

Oh, congrats on the ghan and the opening of a new yarn store.

Wel i posted on the wrong cal :( hi all, i am home and doing a lot better than planned. I am on my nook so i can say hi and thanks for your prayers and thoughts . Will check in when i can HUGS  So happy to hear from you Sherry!  I'm glad you're home.  That should make life easier for you.  Continuously lifting you up in prayer.

Hi Ladies,

Val, Can't wait to see the monkey hat. Hubby use to collect sock monkeys. Maybe I should make some hats for them then we could give each of the grandkids one. Stay warm!  Marlene, I think that would be a great idea.  My DNep is 33 and he asked for one.  The pattern is free on stitch11.com (it's a blog).  If not, I'll post the correct site next time I'm online.

I love going to a chiropractor.  I loved the first one I went to but not the 2nd one.  It's been a long time since I went to one.  I haven't been to one since moving to Georgia 11 years ago.

We are cooking breakfast in the morning. We're having Julie's favorite. Biscuits and gravy, bacon, eggs, juice and coffee.  Delicious!

The next town over had a brush fire burning out of control earlier today. It's in town and they evacuated many streets,  an rv park, animal shelter and the city garage. Hope everyone has a nice weekend. I know I have to do laundry sometime this weekend.  I hope you have a good weekend as well.

Well I'm off to do something :lol .  Judy, Tam, Cindy, Marisa, Michelle, & Mary...thinking of you guys.

As Val said it's cloudy, windy, and COLD here.  Yuck!  I really don't have to go anywhere today, so will probably just hibernate here in the apartment except when I take Sweet Pea out for her walks.  I've got John's quilt, two helmet liners, and two prayer shawls on my list of things to do list.  I'm thinking of starting another pot of soup, too.  Multibean this time.  Soup sounds really good to me at the moment.

Sherry ~ It's soo good to hear from you.  Take it easy, but do do the exercises.

Marlene ~ so glad the damage to homes and people was so limited from the fire.  Can I get one of those breakfasts to go, please.  :D   Good catch on the computer.  I should probably do that too.

Joanne ~ So close to having another little bundle of joy to love on.  :c9   Hope everything goes well.  :hug

Have a restful and safe weekend everyone.  :manyheart

Hi everyone. It was a cold but sunny day here today.

I am still sick, nothing major, just a sore throat, head ache and fatigue. I went to bed at eight last night and I expect to do the same thing tonight.

Hope everyone had a great day.

Sherry, thanks for letting us know you are okay.

Hi all,

I went to the new yarn store- it's very nice- the people were friendly and the yarn was 20% off. I bought a couple of skeins of Cascade 220 Superwash in a very pretty blue- hard to explain the color so I copied it here- it's 1910-Summer sky Heather(sorry the pic is so large)'

Ryan and DD came over this afternoon and then stayed for dinner. He still has a runny nose and around 7 started getting cranky so they went home. The joys of grandparenting are when they get cranky it's on the parents to deal with it! :lol   I'm on the last row of the border- I just did 2 rows of SC and now finishing it off with reverse SC. Hope to get pics of it tomorrow!

Val- My parents are both deceased- Mom passed away in 1999 and my Dad in 2004. We had to sell the house that we all grew up in and I got two of the rocking chairs. DD picked out the one she wants- she said she remembers my Dad reading stories to her in the one she picked.

Last check in for the evening!

My DSis and I out to get groceries and fire logs.  It is cold here and suppose to get as low as the 20s. It was snowing lightly.  I think we're suppose to get a few rain showers.  We don't have to go out tomorrow :yay .  I am ready for Spring.

Cindy, sorry you have a sore throat.  I hope you feel better soon.

Linda, good you don't have to go out.  Bundle up, stay warm and take care.

Joanne, Marisa, Judy, Marlene, Sherry, Tam, Mary & Michelle...take care, have a good night all and I'll see you tomorrow.

Joanne, we were posting at the same time.  I misunderstood that she wanted it from the house.  You were saying the things that came out of the house.  I understand now.  My mom passed in 1992 and my dad in 2011.  We still have everything.  We're keeping the house because 2 of us are not married and my mom and dad had it set up so that everybody or whoever needed to would always have a place to live.  My sister that moved back is living there now.  We don't have to get hotels when we go home.

I'm glad Ryan is better and I hope he's 100% soon...especially before the baby comes.  WTG on the ghan.  Have a good night!

Hi Ladies,

Joanne, How nice that DD wants a rocker that reminds her of  special times with her Grandpa. It warms my heart. :manyheart

Val, Thanks for the link. It's nice that your Dad was able to have it so your family home could stay in the family.

Cindy, Take care of yourself. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Linda, Nice weather to stay in and craft. I would sent a breakfast to if I could of. It was good.

Sherry, Good news your home. Take it easy and only do what your allowed to do.

Mary, Thinking about you. :hug

Marisa, Hope your having a good weekend.

Judy, The pt place has given me the name of the machine you can buy (if the insurance won't pay for it) that you can treat yourself at home. There is a lady here in the park who has one and uses it. She was doing pt where I do. I'm going to check into that. Two of the treatments I do is bicycle with my hands. You sit on a bike but you pedal with your hands. The other one I do is sit in a chair and lift and lower 35 lbs of weight. You sit back far enough that when I pull this bar back you pinch your shoulder blades together. That strengthens my shoulders and upper back. I can tell the difference. Plus the exercises I do for my hand. And I get an ultra massage on my neck and upper shoulder. I'm going to have to keep at all the ones I can do at home so that I can try to keep the strength at least where it's at.

Today has been exhausting. Breakfast was a breeze so I decided to do laundry to. But I go work on the puzzle so it's like standing forever and it wares me out. Then I had to go to the store. I bought pizza for supper and hubby had made supper when I got home. If he would of had his phone on he would of known I was picking up pizza. It wasn't as good as having it there. :no

I talked to DD and Maya today. I'll catch everyone tomorrow. Have a nice sunday!

Getting ready to head to bed.  I've stayed inside as much as possible today.  I've done some crocheting.

The lady I took care of before, Miss Kim, had surgery yesterday to fix a huge hiatal hernia, and reposition the stomach which had gotten turned upsidedown somehow, and place a tube in the stomach for feeding if necessary.  She's got pneumonia again and is in ICU again.  But she is fighting and that goes a long, long way.  They have hopes that this will improve her breathing (the huge hernia was preventing one of the lungs from functioning properly) and digestion.  Please keep her in your prayers.

Glad you enjoyed the new yarn store.  And being able to give the grandkids back to their parents is always a nice perk when the grandkids are sick or misbehaving.  :D

Have a good night.  :manyheart

Hi House. :)

Sherry ~ So happy that you are home and I hope that you're not too uncomfortable. :hug   Will you have someone with you when your DH goes back to work?

Linda ~ Oh, I was so sorry to read about Kim!  I know she's been through a lot, and hopefully will bounce back from this, too. :yes

Joanne ~ Beautiful yarn! :clap   Your DD must be getting anxious about now. :c9  (Of course, I think Grandmas are just as anxious! :lol)

Valerie ~ I'll bet the firelogs made it nice and cozy for you guys...we've had chilly, windy days lately, but tomorrow is supposed to be 80*!

I know I can't catch up with all of your posts, but I've read every one. :manyheart

I did something I've never done before yesterday - stayed in bed, crocheted and watched movies all day.  You know how we think we can do it all?  Well, these last few months I've known I can't and have let myself get way too tired.  The last straw came Friday evening.  A manager at one of Mom and Dad's banks called me to let us know that they had "escorted" my brother out of the bank.  He had marched in demanding to be "in charge" of our parents' accounts and had been drinking.  He was very kind and didn't want to call Dad first...which meant I had to.  And the dysfunctional stuff continues...

Sorry for the long rant - and after more talks with myself, I'll be back to my normal self again. (Whatever that is! :D)  Thanks for being here, everyone. :ghug

Good afternoon!

Cindy- Glad you got a good night's rest and are feeling somewhat better today! I'm not sure what I'm going to make with the new yarn yet--first I have to make a baby blanket for a co-worker --the baby shower is the 29th. Once that is done, I'll start making some things just for fun! And get back to practicing my knitting!

Marlene- I was thinking the same thing as Mary- what did you with DH's dinner? The machine you are thinking of getting? Would you get that when you back home? I would look for one of Craigslist- you can probably get a good deal- lots of people buy exercise equipment and then decide to sell it when they find they don't use it.

Mary- Good for you taking a 'me' day yesterday! It's good for the soul!! Sorry that bro is causing problems--hugs!!

Linda- Sorry to hear about Kim--they are in TX now, right? I'll keep her in my prayers!

Val- We had a little sunshine- yesterday and today- and then the clouds roll in. They are talking about a possible snow storm on Wed---I hope they are wrong- I'm ready for spring!!!

I finished the border on the 2nd blanket for Robbie and started a blanket for my co-worker which I plan to work on today. I cooked breakfast (french toast and turkey sausage) and then we headed to BJ's. I like the Newman's Organic coffee K-cups and you get 80 of them for 38.00---and while there, DH decided he needed to have a new TV --he's been saving up and they had a good deal on an LG 47 inch with 3D--don't get the point but hey, it's his money. He probably doesn't get the point on why I need so much yarn! :lol He said he's going to give the 'old' tv to his oldest grandson.

Off to 'hook' for a bit- and then may go see DD and drop off the 'bus slide' that we picked up today!  This way it will be there tomorrow since my son-in-law's days off are Monday and Tuesday. He'll have to put it together. I want Ryan to have it when his brother makes his appearance and joins the family!

Sometimes you just have to have something that is not diet friendly! And who doesn't love beef stroganoff? :drool
