That skinny turning chain

I may be the only member who didn't know about this; but just in case I'm not alone, here's the greatest idea I've ever seen to overcome that skinny turning chain at the end of a row of double crochet.

i agree with you this is great...i have also learned how to do the russian joining method for putting together to strands of yarn... it is easy also too good to be ignored

I've been crocheting all my life and never seen this done! Fabulous!

 

I tried it with the dc foundation chain. To do this, chain 1, create the no-chain dc, *yo, draw up a lp in the chain, yo, draw thru 2 draw thru 2. repeat from* until desired width. Turn, create the no-chain dc, dc in each dc across.

I tried it and didn't really like it, it's kinda hard to stick the hook thru the

stitches from a previous row at the end.

The thing that worked for me better was, instead of doing the Ch3 at end of

row, I did a turn, and in same st do a sc, go between that sc and do another sc. Now I know there is a You Tube Tutorial-crochet tidy something. I don't know if I

did it exactly like she did, but it worked out better for me.
