wicca patterns

Sahmlock

Question

Ok, so I tossed around the idea of writing this post..because my intention is NOT offend anyone...

But I did a search on the web and cant find anything...and I wanted to make something for my friend....She always gives me nice crosses, and the such.....So I thought why not go the extra mile and do something that SHE will appreciate.

BUT, I cant find any sites that offer crochet patterns of anything that is wicca related...and it doesnt help that I have basically no idea what i am looking for! hahaha

I was able to find what I was looking for rather quickly! Imagine that!

At this site are some Celtic knot filet patterns. I would consider these to be Wicca-eque, or at least Wiccan enough. Especially the Celtic Cross wallhanging at the bottom

Ooooh, I love Celtic knots. I'm bookmarking that page...thanks!

I think you're a nice friend for wanting to make her something. I think you're entitled to ask for this just as much as anyone asking for cross bookmarks or whatever.

Not sure if you're looking for afghans but here's some.

You have to buy these patterns but your friend will appreciate your effort:

She has shawls here:

Main page of crochet:

Freebies.

She might like this Rune set:

Or a Tarot card bag:

Does she have long hair? She might like this:

She might like this purse in deep red, black, or dark purple:

That should help a little. :)

(slaps forehead) I didn't think to check to see if the picts were clickable...lol. the black rows do add a special contrast to it. I've made several, but not for me yet... and may have to pull out some of my ocean to make 1. awsome job. :)

Most of the holidays that we observe are based on earlier Pagan Holidays, so there really isn't a lot that isn't able to be used. You could make a tarot card holder pack, a stuffed rabbit, a doily with a 5 pointed star surrounded by a circle (symbolizes the 4 elements and Spirit), a yule log, and basicly anything you would make for anyone else. A book cover with a pentacle on the cover would be awesome if you knew the size of one of her favorite books. Just my thoughts. Enjoy your day.

Hmmmmm. You know....... if someone could come up with a cable stitched pentacle, it could be stitched onto tons of stuff. That would be quite dandy. :)

I don't think you will offend anyone. I think you are a very special person to want to do this for your friend. I hope when you find and make something for her you will share a picture with us

Thanks! Actually, it's good ole' Red Heart. Varigated, yes - Gemstone is the color, plus some done in plain black: around the outer, plus one of those two rings that weave together. (easier to see that when clicked to enlarge)
