Mom taught me when I was 5 or 6 then my friend had to reteach me about 4 years ago.
  1. This lot is now gone! I have #10, #20, #30 threads - some in pinks/greens variegated, nice spring colours in there - some cream - odds and sods really. Grocery bag full of it. I'll keep it for a week, then it's going! Send me an email at amandaATraderDOTinfo - replace the words with the symbols

    What stitch is this?

Yay! Thank you so much everyone! I've been in love with this stitch for a couple of years and I haven't ever been able to figure out what it was. I appreciate all the feedback and all the links. Best, Amanda

  6. wow. Thanks for sharing. It's beautiful. Funnily enough, I'll be in Halifax June 18 - 25 - my husband is riding his bike across canada (yes bicycle) for kids with cancer and I'm meeting him at the finish line. I've already located a LYS to hang out at on the 19th
  7. mine was a wonky cock-eyed, crooked afghan using scraps from mom's yarn - it started with white, then some dark bluey/purpley with a silver thread through it. It was a hideously lovely afghan for my dolls
