I overslept today, so I had to wake my dear sweet bf up to take the kids to school. I have court friday then dr app to get mine and my sons meds taken care of friday afternoon as well. I have been so out of the loop that it almost seems impossible to get back to where I was. I suppose ill just have to start fresh, lol.

i am going to try and get my finals done today. I just went and bought all the baking stuff for the cookies for Kendras wedding in 12 days...ugh I have so much to do. this weekend is baking,next monday is programs and seating chart day,tues/wed work midnights, thursday is sleep,pick up flowers, do table arrangements, rehearsal, friday wedding cake and boquets, sat. wedding so if I dont check in...you know im buried in my Kitchen

It's a cloudy cold damp day here and we might have a frost tonight. So much for trying to get an early start in the garden. I have been working on squares and keeping a close eye on our poor old dog. He was 15 in Dec and is trying to tell us goodby. Yesterday the vet said he has congestive heart failure and a lot of edema. He put him on diuretics for a week and then will go from there.

Hi everyone! hope yall are doing alright, havent hardly seen anyone on in a few days. been my little head off lately, almost done with the most intricate doily i think ive ever made (tho im sure i messed it up, it still looks pretty darn good! ) if i can find a way to get the webcam to get a pic of it when im done piecing it together and doing the edging, i most defnetly will. again, hope everyones doing well, and to everyone who needs them

It's gotten awfully quiet here. I am starting to have abandonment issues!

I need to get busy and get some squares made and sent out Ive been slacking on it, for awhile.

Ive had real bad sinus infection, I went to an ears nose and throut specialist and they put me on prednizone and antibotics I was sure glad when all of those pills were gone I was on the prednizone for a month.

It helped and I felt lots better, Im hoping it doesnt come back.

Sorry, guys. Been in a funk. Holidays have always been hard with dh gone but on top of that, Monday is his birthday and it's always the hardest day of the year for me. So please, keep me in your prayers if you think of it. I miss him so much.

 

I got kind of bumfuzzled on squares too. I made a 12" square and at row 10 it said if square is 11", then do row 11a. If 11 1/2" do row 11b. I measured and it was barely 9"!! I frogged. Tried another gorgeous one. It came out 10 1/2 instead of 12. My gauge is generally right so not sure what is up with me. I put another row on it and it came out to about 11 1/2. 12" squares scare me.

 

I have made a couple of squares, just need to mail them. (not 12" ones of course. )

I have had that problem too at times. If it came out that close to 10 inches I probably frogged the last row, then crocheted the last row a little tighter to make it 10inches and sent it to someone that wanted a 10 inch square. There is also some variation in the thickness of yarns and on a 12 inch square it can really throw you off. I think for every square I have completed I have frogged 2 in order to get them to the right size.

I hate when a square says its 12" and you have correct gauge/hook then it ends up 10". WTH???

Tam those are some personable eggs. I had a good day, kind of tired though. Jim went out on a fire call and we didn't get to bed until 2am. I got to see my 5 year old great nephew. He has two speeds, full throttle and sleep. Of course he was on a sugar high. My Dad and Step Mom are back from FL and I hadn't seen them since Oct. I hope everyone else had a nice Easter.

Have a couple to mail out but may have to find a boat to get to the post office. We have over 10" of rain and it's pouring. The lakes are fairly busting at the seems, warnings of levee breaches, roads caving in... not a pretty picture here in the Ozarks.

We have been getting a lot of rain too but not as much as down your way. This time of year I am always wishing we could save some of it for August.
