i didn't get a chance to post last week. i got a skein of purple yarn to make a manatee for a friend of mine. i finished the manatee but it didn't use much yarn so i'll count this week as:

Ok, I really didn't want to do this but I'll fess up. Tomorrow is my birthday and today we went shopping some where that had sugar and cream on sale for 1.25 a skein so I decided to treat my self to.... ummmm..... 25 skeins of yarn. 23 of which are cotton. Good news though. Went through 2 of those skeins today. so instead of adding -50 to my score for the week I'll only add -46 (like that makes a big difference).

 

Is there an award for biggest ytd? Ok, just kidding.

Working on a star afghan and I was close to finishing up a skein of yarn, but of course I had a little bit left so I rolled a ball. At least it is a +1 until I figure out what to do with a small ball of bright pink yarn.

 

I have about 7 rows left on the star, but I doubt I'll finish any skeins off either.

 

This week I am going to try to get some things finished up, and hopefully bring my number back up to the postive side of things. A win win right?

 

Thankfully it does not look like Michaels has yarn on sale this week, so none should follow me home unless I get things down and start on something new.

I goofed when posting my YTD score. It should be -9. Sorry. I was in a hurry to use the computer because one of the kids had to get on right away. Sorry about that.

Too bad it isn't yesterday! My grandmother decided she wanted to make 2 afghans for her great-grandsons (my cousin's sons). I showed her a pattern I'm working on that works up quick and easy and told her I'd make up 2 kits for her with all the yarn I have. I made up one kit in 3 different blues and the other in a bunch of different greens. Anyway...I gave her 16 skeins and 14 balls of yarn!
