Update for Jordan

i sit here not knowing how in the world to let you all know this:

 

jordan is not doing well. it seems that her little body has given in. she is no longer breathing on her own. the doctors are suggesting that she get a home machine, so that she doesn't die in the hospital 6 hours away from her family.

 

my prayer now is that the pain leaves her and she passes peacefully. i pray for her mother and father.

 

i will keep posting as i know more.

I have never posted on this thread, but feel compelled to this morning as I sit here weeping for that sweet sweet child and the family surrounding her in love.

 

As a mother who has lost a child, it is such a touching thing to see so many people loving this child.

 

I pray for stregnth for the family and for sweety Jordan. I pray that if these are the last days they will take them with love and comfort from above. I pray Jordan will be welcomed with open arms by the ones that have been loved and lost by that family. I pray that she will find comfort in knowing her family will be safe and full of love and memories.

 

I pray that the family can handle the things that are given them at this time. A person does not know their own breaking point, but with memories and love filling their hearts they will be guided to a reality of living once again.

 

 

Hug your children, god bless you all.

Why, why, why??? This poor girl fought so hard. It doesn't make sense. At least we know she will no longer be hurting or have to fight when she goes to heaven. She'll be looking out over her family and keeping them well. This just breaks my heart. She's such a little angel.

Goodness. I don't know what to say.

 

Of course her family is going to be in my prayers. Of course I'll pray for sweet Jordan; that her pain will be eased, and that she'll have strength, if that is God's will.

 

This just took the wind right out of me. It's so sad when illness comes to this... but when it's a child? I can't stand it.

I've been unable to click this link lately because I was afraid I would read bad news.... I finally did it and now I'm sitting here in tears for that family. This baby has fought her heart out to live, I can only admire her courage and will. She's been through so much. I wish I could just reach out and swipe this illness from her tiny little body. I can only imagine the sheer terror and heartache her parents must be living with. No parent should ever have to live through that.

 

I pray that something will change for them, that she'll have a turn for the better. If that is just not meant to be, then I pray that they are all given the strength they need to get through this, that they know and feel the love and support that is flowing their way from all over the country and even the globe... that Jordan be given some painfree time to be with her family before she is released from this life.

 

Rebecca, thank you so much for your updates on this, we know it can't be easy for you. You're in my prayers too hun.

the last i have heard is that they are trying to find a way for her to come back home. hubby has been out of his office for the past month. i will call up to the office receptionist this afternoon and see what she knows.

I stumbled onto this post a few days ago. I have to admit that Jordan has been on my mind ever since. I've been afraid to ask for fear of what I might found out, but, I was wondering if there is an update yet?

finally there has been an update on young jordan.

her cancer is in remission - YAY! but not without it's concequences

 

she is having severe side issues. her little body has taken so much abuse and medicine. she is having breathing difficulties. very serious breathing problems, they have been unsuccessful at taking her off the respirator. they did a biopsy on her lung tissue - which apparently caused her such pain she won't let anyone touch her. all for nothing, the biopsy came back inconclusive and gave no indication of what is causing her problems. the doctors are saying it is an infection similar to RSV, but her body is so weak, she is unable to fight it. she is still in dallas, as they are afraid to move her. apparently, the pain medication she is on has started to be useless. her body has become used to it and it is no longer helping to dull her pain. she is saying she wants off of all machines and to just go home. i can't imagine the difficult decision facing her parents.

 

please continue to pray for little jordan and for strength for her parents.

She's one tough cookie to be hanging in there after all of this. I"m still hoping for a happy ending for her and her family.
