Chelle-

How are the comfortghans coming along? I saw that you had posted new projects so I thought that you might have gotten the ghans mailed. Let me know if you need any help with anything, especially shipping. :))

I would like to update everyone on Jordan:

Billy came to me this morning with some troubling news about Jordan's last blood culture (which they have been doing about once a week). The last Culture indicated a small percentage of what the Doctor's referred to as immature leukemia cells, so with that known, Doctor's ordered a Bone Marrow Biopsy this morning. Billy just came to me a few minutes ago with the results from that test. The test basically concluded that about 4% of her blood cells are leukemia cells. The Doctor's have basically told Billy & Christie that it's too soon to consider Jordan for more Chemo, or another Bone Marrow transplant because her body is just too weak. The only thing they can do at this point is take her off of all the GVH (graft vs. host) immune suppressant drugs, and see what happens. The whole purpose for those drugs was to throttle the bone marrow transplant stem cells, and not overwhelm her body such that it would reject it, but at this point, it's been determined the best treatment for trying to eliminate the leukemia with hope that her body won't reject it. Billy tells me that the plans for now are to probably bring her home this weekend, and that her Cancer Doctor's here will monitor her treatment in the next days and weeks.

Please continue to fervently Pray for Jordan, and for Billy & Christie as they continue to fight this terrible cancer.

Oh no!

That's not fair. She's been through so much already, it's just not fair. <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/crying.gif" />

Of course our thoughts are still with her & her family.

hi, i just was able to get back on here and read the update about jordan. that poor little angel. i am sitting here with:cry running down my face and am praying for her and her family, god does grant miracles and i just told him we need one for her. is there anything i can do to help in anyway. please tell her family that i am praying and all of the people in my church are praying for her. i pray that the lord brings them peace and another miracle. hopfully she will be strong enough to last until they can do more chemo and kill it once and for all. sounds like she is a strong young child and it does help when people know that others care. gods blessings on all of them. please let us know of any updates as soon as possible. take care vicki:

  • 3 weeks later...

I haven't sent an update in a few weeks on Jordan, and a lot of things have happened with her since then. Foremost, Jordan contracted Pneumonia, which ended up being

double by-lateral which means all 4 lobes of her lungs were infected. On top of that she had some fluid around her heart that they ultimately got under control with medication. Jordan

has amazingly once again fought through all these set backs. All I can say is Jordan is one tough little girl with a lot of fight in her.

According to Billy if she can stay infection free for another week or so at Cook Children's hospital they're going to let her come home and let the physicians here monitor the remainder of her bone marrow transplant treatment until she is in full remission.

Let's continue to remember and pray for Jordan.

Oh that poor, sweet girl. She is such a fighter, that part is great to hear.

I hope she can kick this once and for all <img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/really.gif" />

Thank you for updating us
