Oh that's great to see her with Julie's wonderful afghan!!!

Have you heard how things are going since her transplant?

Let them know we are still cheering for her <img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/cheer.gif" />

Chelle, did you have any luck finding the teal? My offer is still good <img border=0 src="http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif" />

Hey girls, I'm back from a short vacation. Will continue to pray for all hubby's. The squares look so good together. Thanks for the pic Rebecca. What a sweet looking girl, and so happy. I'll keep praying that smile can always stay!!

another email update from her dad:

I just received this from my wife. I also talked to her on the phone. She said the doctors don't really know why or where this come from and they don't know what to do to get rid of it. It is possibly that this is part of the "GRAFT-VERSES-HOST DISEASE". Please pray for her. I will follow up as soon as possible. They think it may be her lumen port lines with this infection.

That means everyone who goes into her room will have to gown and glove up. She cannot get out of her room until the isolation is lifted. She apparently has a blood infection that dr. howry cannot get rid of with his antibiotics. So, now they have called in an infectious disease control doctor to take over that part. He will look at all the results of blood cultures and determine the 5 w's. you know the what, why, where and etc. I just met him and he looked at her and went to call dr.Howry. He will talk with the other dr's and look at her results and then get with us on what he will do. We don't have all the facts to determine what this is or what to do yet. This is not looking good right now.

another report from jordan's dad:

Don't let anyone tell you there is no power in prayer, Jordan is living proof. Christie called me last night and told me that the doctors finally figured out that the infection was coming from her port and it is not in her blood. She also has a mild case of streap throat because she is a carrier of it. The doctors plan to treat everything with (I know my spelling will be wrong) amoxacillian of which she is slightly allergic to. Needless to say I didn't get any sleep last night as the nurses and doctors kept a very close eye on Jordan all night. I have not heard anything from Christie this morning so no news is good news. Thank you all so much for your prayers, last night was very tough to get through. I know I could not have made it through without going insane had it not been for your support. Please believe me when I say that all of you play a very active roll in getting us through this tough time. Thank you!

another new update i just got from her dad:

Jordan is doing much better today, her fever is down and the swelling is down which means that the fluid is draining out of her lungs. The doctors are still watching her very close for fever and keeping her on around the clock antibiotics. We will probably know more in a day or so. Things are looking up!

They replaced Jordan's central line because of the infection and she is doing a little better. Her fever went down and she was up eating and watching TV yesterday. They did some more blood cultures on her today and the infection is still there. They plan on starting the antibiotic again to hopefully cure it. I was actually able to get a hug from her yesterday. They are still running test on her today and I will forward that information on as it becomes available. The good news is that this infection should not affect the growth of her stem cells. Thanks!
