  1. I came home from vacation Friday to find the hook waiting for me! I hope to get started on my square tonight and hope to have it moving along shortly.
  2. What perfect timing! I picked up Flash in the Monterey Magenta colorway to make this for myself (I made one last summer for my mom in Cactus Flower and she loves it.) over my upcoming spring break getaway. I'm so excited that there's a CAL now. Correction, I made it almost two years ago! Here's a photo of my daughter modeling. I can't believe that much time has gone by.
  3. This sounds like such a great idea! I'm in Houston but my husband is in the Irving area for business so I'm always up for Dallas-area events. I like the B&B idea.
  4. First off, welcome to Crochetville! I love both of your projects - great work! I was curious to see the jacket made myself - what type of yarn did you use? The color's gorgeous.
  5. I made this bun cover for my daughters to wear to the their ballet class. You can find the pattern here - http://www.tiffcrochets.com/patterns/madelineballet.htm I used about 30 yards of Patons Silverlash in Lustrous Lilac. I'm working on a pink one because now they want to color coordinate.
  6. Awesome! I can definitely find a babysitter for a little me-time this weekend!
  7. Okay, see what I miss by being swamped away from here???? Please tell me that there are more meetings coming up soon!
  8. I can't wait to see it tonight! I'm completely hooked on this show, about as much as Mythbusters. I work in a dirty job (construction materials testing- okay, not me, the guys in the lab) and I've tried to get one of the technicians I work with to film a little scene to send in to have him come to my lab.
  9. There will be four (or five) episodes that will be on for Crochet me. It's been so long since we did the pitch, flew out there, and taped the episodes that I've forgotten! Donna is in It's My Party, which is episode 132. I know that I won't be able to sleep this weekend knowing that it's just three days away.
  10. It's beautiful, Lori! I love the hexagon shaping versus a traditional circle.
  11. You don't have to rush, but would you give us the resource for this quote? It would help others who might like to look at it - perhaps the website link, author if it's listed, and title of the article. Thanks.
  12. I've been overwhelmed with things the past few weeks so was unable to put much effort into it, but look for additions over the course of this next week!
  13. Kathy, I'm going to close this thread. If the contest is on your blog, it's not a Crochetville contest and we don't want it to be misinterpreted as such so it's best to keep the numbers, contest happenings, and results on your blog, okay?
  14. I usually take crochet with me on most road trips and to work. I bring my lunch to work just to be able to sneak in at least 30 minutes of crochet-time.
  15. We are looking for submissions for upcoming issues of 'Round the 'Ville, the monthly newsletter for Crochetville. Here are the submission guidelines: * Only submissions sent to roundtheville@gmail.com will be accepted. * Every pattern should include the designer's name, Crochetville name, copyright specifications, and a photo of the finished project. * Up to 5 patterns will be chosen randomly from the submissions and the designer contacted prior to publication of the newsletter. We are expanding the pattern section to a maximum of 5 designs per issue. * Please submit a design that is "new" (never before published either on Crochetville, your blog, or elsewhere).
