I signed up too. But then I noticed this

"Our goal is to reach 40,000 crocheters by 2007"

It reads: by 2007.

Does that mean it is over? That's the way I read it.

I wondered, I had signed up a about a week ago. This was the reply e-mail:

It looks like we will reach our goal and this will be offered next week!!!!

Have a great day,

Tina

My understanding is that Maggie's already has the 40 patterns picked out. They will be sending the same 40 to everyone.

Correct me if I am wrong.:hook

I agree...that is the way I understood it.

If you go here...

http://www.maggiescrochet.com/pages/40_Free.htm

you will see 37 of the patterns.

yes.. good point.. why do they all end in 82?? its not that difficult to change more than one number in html...

Maggie is more than likely using a counter to keep track. Why all the updates end in 82 is beyond my thinking other than:

a) a coincidence

b) just easier to remember to post updates every 100 or so

c) 82 has a special meaning to Maggie

d) none of the above

Wonder if she'll wait until the number actually reaches 4,082??? :devil

Darn it, it's so hard to wait isn't it?!

(what patterns are you going to order for 40% off??)

I plan to buy some things when they go on discount too!

Floral dishclothes, because I just can't find the right round potholder I want, and the rose one here is perfect!

I love this one, but the above has several for one price...

These are so pretty, maybe I'll have to!

I just got THE email. Maggie's has reached not just 40,000 customers but

Current Total: 41,082

I thought she might wait until 40,082 but not 41,082 :rofl

In any case, here's the link: 40 Free Patterns

I just downloaded them! It downloads as a word file...but...the pictures aren't there! So...I went back-and-forth...and did a copy-and-paste of each picture to the pattern it belongs with.

By the way...THANKS MAGGIE!!!

The free patterns aren't much. However I overused the 40% discount. I bought about $40 worth of patterns (before S&H) for less than $30 (after S&H).
