It's Christmas... doilies

A couple of Christmas doilies to start the holiday season. :gift

This one's called 8-point star, I think (ETA: found the pattern, it's here). It's from Celt's vintage doilies. I was inspired by cosmicmonster's rendition of it. I called this one Christmas Morning (just because). I used Royale in myrtle green, victory red, and white. It's about 15.5". :candycane

This next one's from the Ultimate Doilies book. I call it Christmas Bells (I think the original name is Swinging Bells). Christmas colors on this one too, and edged in gold, just because I like gold. Approx. 13" across. :stocking

Hope you enjoy them. :rud

Those are the most beautiful doilies I have ever seen. :nworthy I can't even make a beginner snowflake! :cry I am so jealous. I could never make anything with thread! :no

Thank you all. :bounce

cosmicmonster, white is never boring! :hook

CrochetRN, it just takes a bit of getting used to. Personally, I find snowflakes more difficult than doilies, because there's just not much to hang on to. At least with doilies, only the first row is a little hard. It gets easier after that. :)
