well years ago ( maybe 10+) I fell in love with a afghan pattern I saw in Mary Maxim......It was of a train coming through snow covered mountains. Hubby LOVES model trains and so I figured being I rarely make him anything -I'd attempt it. UGH

After several months I got so darn frustrated as all the yarns would tangle so bad I would just cut them all, untangled and go on. I finally put it away awhile. Got it out again and finished it.....Then it all started to unravel from the way it was constructed. Although I followed all directions it was a mess. I put it in the trash. Since then i've seen alot of pretty afghans made the same way and stay away from them.

This afghan I started a few months ago and although seemed long to do-the way it is done is different than my nightmare, This one you leave 8" of yarn before and after each row (making the fringe) ....each row is the same right to left--no turning. If I could do it--anyone can :)
