Hi all,

Just read through all the posts and happenings amongst you--but am out of time to individually post.

Marisa- I wanted you to know that i'm keeping your friend and her other twin in my prayers.

I got a horrible night's sleep last night- and wish I could stay home and get some rest- but that'll have to wait till this evening!

Have a good one!

Hi, ya ladies!

Linda, I'm glad J is having to handle Kim's needs and those of the house! Wow...you're going to be in that apartment before you can blink!

not much on the agenda for today other than getting caught up on some cleaning. Maybe I'll pull out my hook or pointy sticks later today;)

Have a good one, my friends:hug:manyheart

Good morning ladies :hi

Thank you all so much for your care, concern, and prayers. I haven't actually spoken with my friend yet and will wait for her to call me since I know she just doesn't feel like talking about this yet so I don't know any of the specifics. It seems to have hit me pretty hard so I can only begin to imagine how she and her dh are feeling right now. These are 2 of the best people I know and I'm super close with them both since undergrad, was even in their wedding :manyheart

I never exercised yesterday, so can't skip out today :lol Ingrid is bringing the kids over for a while today since her and dh's schedules conflict a bit and he started a new job yesterday. Ingrid usually works later on Wednesdays but Sloan has a baseball game tonight so she had to work an earlier shift. I might try to hit the Y for a class tonight....I really enjoy aerobics classes so much more than just getting on the eliptical, but we'll see how the day pans out. Last night I pinned up a few tank tops to try to alter and take in a bit so I don't have to get rid of them and a couple pair of my scrub pants that are just insanely big :eek

Judy - WTG on your pattern organizing. Hopefully you'll get todays cleaning done and can spend some quality time with your hook or needles :D

Marlene - How cute is Maya worrying about the fish getting away :hug Glad to hear that the bowling party turned out alright and that it is looking up for ds in court :xfin

Mary - Oh boy, I can't wait to hear about Luke's lesson tomorrow :bounce

Val - I hope your head is feeling better today :hug

Linda - July 2nd will be here before you know it, I'm sure the last few weeks are going to seem to go super quick, while at the same time take forever :think My friend is due in October and I'm not sure what the plans are for them yet. She just sent me a text to let me know and appologized 100x for telling me that way but that she just wasn't up to talking, which I totally understand and I didn't want to bombard her with questions that way. All I know is that they are sending her to a specialist, but I'm not even sure when that appt will be but I can't imagine they would put her off with it :think How was Dallas?

Joanne - Sorry you got a crappy night sleep :hug Hopefully the day goes smoothly and you'll be in bed before you know it :xfin

Good morning everyone. We just dropped off GS at summer school. Will be having a quiet day again today. Have approximately half the rows of the shawl done now. It's working better as I'm going slower than normal speed. Not so hard on my arthritic joints that way. I'm raiding DD's collection of books and DVDs to keep me entertained while she's working.

Have a good one.

Good morning Housemates!

Marisa - Thanks! I thought I was going to have a headache when I first opened my eyes. However, after stretching, I'm good. I hope you get to excercise. Continuing to lift your friend and baby up in prayer.

Joanne - I'm sorry you had a bad night.:hug Hope today goes fast so you can get some rest.

Judy - I hope you can get your crochet/knitting mojo on today. Enjoy!!!

Linda - Glad you're still enjoying yourself. You deserve this break!

I'm going to do a little cleaning and then back to the hooking.:D

Wishing all the housemates a wonderful Wednesday.

Good morning everyone. Our heat wave has broken and its a beautiful cool sunny day today.

I'm off today, but its back to work tomorrow. I am not going to do much today, just some laundry and a little picking up. I plan to spend a lot of time outside, enjoying the weather. I started a shawl on the Nifty Knitter yellow loom yesterday and I';m going to work on that out there. I have a foot or so done already. I do not like the way the beginning looks, but other than that I like how it is coming out. I figure I can probably figure out some sort of crocheted border to hide what I don't like about it. I got the shawl pattern from a you tube video. I was looking at loom knitting videos, because its been so long since I used the looms, and I had forgotten how. (My plan was to make baby hats, but I got distracted.)

Marlene, I also like the sounds of that judge, sounds like he is going to make ex-dil act like a grownup.

Joanne, sorry to hear about the sleepless night. I've been having a lot of sleep problems lately, and I know how hard it is to get going with no sleep.

Val, sorry about the headache. Sounds like you're making afghan progress despite that.

Linda, glad you are having such a great time with your dd and dgs. Hope moving works out for July 2! Only a little over two weeks! Can't wait to see your shawl.

Hope you are all having a good Wednesday. I'll be in and out today.

Hey ladies,

Just a quick update on my friend. I still havent spoken to her yet but got a little tidbit through text when I asked her when her appt with the specialist would be. She already saw him/her and they said that because she had no symptoms it was probably due to a blood, developmental, or genetic disorder and this was the bodies way of protecting itself. The 2nd baby is currently right on target and they will not remove the other since it risks the healthy one to be harmed, so nothing will really be done at this point....just moving forward.

I was thinking there was probably something genetic... it happens, and there's nothing anyone could have done to change it:( You're a very good friend...

Cindy, I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who gets distracted, craft-wise!

Instead of working on my saltine ghan I went to Michaels (first I loaded their app with coupons on my phone) and bought size 13 bamboo needles and this color yarn to knit myself a winter scarf http://www.ebay.com/itm/Loops-Threads-Charisma-bulky-yarn-Northern-Lights-lot-3-/370622108911?_trksid=p3284.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D21%26pmod%3D130710820486%26ps%3D54

That is really pretty yarn. Bet that will work up fast with those big needles. Are you finding it hard on your hands to use them? I always thought it would be easier, but my niece says its harder.

I did not know there was a Michaels app. Will have to look for that one. Although...our Michaels moved into a much smaller store, (better location, business-wise) and its not as nice to shop at anymore, so I don't go there much anymore. Hobby Lobby is in the same shopping center and a huge new Joann's is about a half mile away.

Thanks....that's gorgeous yarn and will make a great scarf. That's was I used for my knit jacket (that still needs the border all around and hood finished :blush ) But what I have did work up fairly quickly and I used both 11 and 13 needles....fell in love with the bamboo too :manyheart

Easier, as long as I don't strangle the needle! If I hold it too tight I'm more aware of it and am able to loosen my grip so the yarn slides through much easier.

I didn't think about the app either - till Phyllis put the thought in my head! It was neat bringing the coupn up on my phone and having the checker scan the barcode!

I'm still such a knitting newbie that I think it'll be a very long time - if ever - before I can use metal needles. When I first tried knitting with them they spent more time on the floor than in my hands:lol

Quick check in.

Judy - you can also download HL's coupon and pretty much any store that has it's own coupon. The yarn for your scarf is beautiful. Have a good night!

Have a good evening Cindy & Marisa.

Good night all!

Good morning!!

I love that yarn Judy- I had stocked up on some when they had it on sale or 1.99/skein last winter- I made a RR with it, some hats and will be making scarves with it for this winter. Speaking of scarves I'm on a Queen's Ann Lace Scarf kick- making them for Christmas gifts for my co-workers (the ones that got a SBT last Christmas) They work up really fast and look a lot harder than they really are and come out so pretty!

Off to get ready for another busy day--but at least I got 6 1/2 hours of sleep last night without waking up!!!

Good morning ladies :hi (at least for a little while longer)

Last night when I got home I watched last weeks Royal Pains, then we had dinner and Steph and I watched this weeks Royal Pains while Bean was doing other stuff (he hates that show :lol ) I then read a bit before bed and called it a night.

Got up this morning at 6:30 to get to the gym for the 7-8:30 class, then swam a half mile. Went home, got a shower and ate bfast while watching Food Network Star from last weekend. Now I'm here :whew I have a few things to go through and then will make a quick trip up the bank.

Joanne - Will work be a bit calmer next week? :xfin Only one more day until the weekend!

Judy - Congrats on goddaughter's graduation :hug I know you're super proud, as well you should be. Have fun.

Mary - Sorry you had some rough phone calls, but WTG on the baby ripple....can't wait to see pics :devil

We had a nice time together after graduation...and the view of the Navesink River in Red Bank was wonderful from our table. I am so proud of the young woman my goddaughter has become.

Here are some pics - looks like we got that part of CV all fixed!

Miss Lucy on her new blankie....I put it down, told her it was hers and she walked onto it, circled, and lay down.

The other pic is hubby with the pups - their fav thing to do is go on a car ride!!
