Naomi Shawl for My Sister

I finished this today after setting it aside for over a month. I think my sister will be so happy to get it. :yay

This is the Naomi Shawl by Carolyn Christmas at Gourmet Crochet. I followed the pattern, added four extra rows to the body and removed one row from the lace trim because I was afraid I was going to run out of yarn...good decision!

I used an H hook and Classic Elite Fresco Yarn in colorway 5328.

OMG! I am working on that exact same thing! I actually ordered the yarn that was used in the pattern but found that it was very hard to work with so I switched to a bernat baby yarn. It is heavier and may be too heavy for the finished shawl...not sure yet. I planned on giving it to a co-worker for her birthday but it depends on how it turns out. I can only hope it will be half as beautiful as yours!

I like it a lot. If for some reason your sister doesn’t like it, send it down to Corpus Christi. I have a lady-friend who would love it, and I promise not to try to pass it off as my work, but then she has seen my work and, well, my stuff just doesn’t measure up to yours.

AWESOME! Gorgeous color and work. Your sister will love it!

I absolutely LOVE that pattern and have wanted it since the email came with it as the new pattern. After seeing yours made up, I have GOT to get that pattern! :lol

Pam, your shawl turned out beautiful. I love that dark red color. And aren't Carolyn Christmas's patterns pretty? I have quite a few of them now.:)
