Two Pineapple Shawls

Recommended Posts

I've been on a shawl kick lately and I made these two shawls last month.

The blue one is called Lovely Pineapple Lace, and the pattern can be found HERE. I used Baby Bee yarn and an F hook.

The pink one is done in regular old Red Heart Super Saver and an H hook and is called Pineapple Chair Set 7670 - Chair Sets Book No. 206 - The Spool Cotton Company 1944. You can get the pattern for free HERE, but you must be a member to view it.

I don't think they were hard, but you definitely need to pay attention and keep your place on the pattern. I always use a sticky note to mark where I am on the written pattern and it works great for me. There is nothing difficult about it. Just take it one row at a time. I really enjoyed doing both of them, and if it were difficult, I probably wouldn't have. I'm all about the easy!

And you'll feel so good when you're finished...a real sense of accomplishment! Pineapples always do that for me.

I told someone just the other day in a posting that I tended to dismiss pineapples out–of-hand. I don’t know why I have that thing in my head that does that, because these are spectacular. Thanks for sharing your wonderful work. They are as beautiful as any I have ever seen, and so now I think I have to try one. --John Hablinski, Corpus Christi, Texas USA

Wow, they both turned out great! I really need to try the pattern for the blue one. I have made the chair set one before and it is much easier than it looks, but still very sophisticated looking! You did a marvelouse job on both!
