Coincidence?

I would say that 99% of the things I knit or crochet are for others. I so rarely make anything for myself. Well, yesterday I decided that I was going to make myself a sweater for this coming winter. In my huge stash though, I don't have enough of one color (that I would wear) to make it. Money is tight, too, so I'm trying to figure out how to pay for it and not feel guilty.

 

When I got home from work yesterday there was a box on my bed. I opened it up and guess what I found? 1200 yards of sage green sport yarn! DH said that he found it in the rafters in the garage. There were also 200 yards each of six other colors. I had forgotten that I bought a kit from Herrschner's about 6 years ago and never got around to making the dinosaur afghan that it was meant to be. And I never will make it because it is done in the afghan stitch, which I HATE to do. So, now I have the yarn for my sweater! :cheer
