Crocheted greyhound DONE!!!

I am proud to say I have COMPLETED my [almost] life-size crocheted greyhound!! More than a month ahead of schedule, too! I was making it for my dear friend, who is like a second mommy to my own three greyhounds....I made it to look like my boy, Buddy, since DF adores him so...

I bought the pattern...I am sure I could never come up with something like that on my own!! Gotta have a pattern for most everything.

 

My only regret is that I wish I could've crocheted in two colors, rather than adding the brown as felt patches; I think it would've looked better. But like I said, I couldn't have figured that out on my own. What I needed was some sort of chart or program that could take my photo and make a pattern from it....

 

If I get ambitious, I'm going to perhaps make another one for the adoption group to raffle off as a fundraiser....maybe a brindle one! Raise money to find more homes for wonderful, sweet greyhounds!

Adorable! I think I'm going to have to make one of these for my kids.

 

I am currently fostering a greyhound until the greyhound rescue organization can find her a permanent home-- it's my first experience as a foster-mom, and I have definitely fallen in love with the breed! My foster-dog is so sweet, affectionate, smart, goofy, and elegant...I just love her.
