Finish off leaving ends somewhat long for antennas, Tail: Measure and cut about 88” to 100” inches of thread (I usually wrap it around a note book 4 or 5 times). From wrong side of butterfly insert hook in starting hole going to the front and around the butterfly’s body and then insert hook back into starting hole so the hook is again on the wrong side. Fold yarn is half over hook, pull up a loop, using both strands together chain until you have about 5” to 6” inches of thread left. Tassel: Cut about 5-10”inch strands of black and 5-10” inch strands of the butterfly’s color. Insert hook in last chain made, fold strands of thread in half over hook, pull up a loop, Take hook out of loop and pull loose threads through the loop and pull taut. Make a knot to secure tassel.
