I've been working on my Homespun squares. I finally dug out all of it and it's in a giant tote bag (Joanne, and meetup friends - it's the giant bag I had with me Saturday). The smaller amounts of yarn I untangled and wound into balls.

Some squares will end up being multicolor:D

 

It feels good using up my stash.

Hi guys

A quick check in . I had hoped to respond to everyone,but just dont have the gumption today . This stuff is kicking my butt .

Sam is sick, but his so far doesnt seem to be as bad as mine. He is planning on working today,but he is a work-a-holic,so rarely EVER misses a day. I told him stay home and rest,but he will go in anyhow. He gets 5 sick days a year,worked the same job for 35 years,and never used all 5 sick days .

I'm thinking maybe the asthma has something to do with the severity of mine. I actually cough until I throw up.( sorry, not exactly a pleasant thing to read).

I NEVER get stuff like this. I think about 25 years ago I had bronchitis,but thats it .

Weird stuff .

 

Also wanted to tell you all I had bloodwork done last visit,and something is showing in my blood that is off kilter. My doc has me set to go to another specialist on Feb 23rd .

She said she is "fairly certain" I dont have Lupus or Rheumatoid arthritis,but I do have some type of chronic illness that she cannot diagnose, so off I go to another specialist. I knew I had something else going ion here other than plain old asthma. Too many other odd things happening to me,so I will have to go get further tests done . I asked her to please tell me what else they are checking for,and she said she won't tell me, because she knows how frantic I get,and that I would have myself worried to death,ansd she wont allow me to do that ,so it's just some more hurry up and wait .

 

Anyhow I am still out here . Will try to check in as I can,but not sure how often it'll be ... pretty doggone worn out today.

 

Wonder why you feel the sickest at night ? Anyone know the answer to that ?

Jules, not sure if you feel sickest at night, but I do know when my mind isn't distracted by other things I notice every little ache and pain and it's all magnified...and that's at night.

Julie, Judy hit one of the reasons while you feel worse at night, which is lack of distractions. Another is that it's the end of the day and you have used up lots of your energy and thus don't have as much left to fight off the symptoms. Another is that the circadium rhythm of your body is on a down swing as the sun goes down.

 

Good morning, house friends. It's another pretty day. It's supposed to be in the low 60s all week long and mostly sunny, too. Kim has a doctor's appointment this afternoon so it will be busy here today. She used the oxygen only a very little over the weekend and not at all yesterday, although she probably should have for at least a bit after her shower as she was pretty tired afterwards. Activity still seems to wear her out quickly. She doesn't like the tube in her nose and the mask even less.

 

Rosie and John are taking me out to supper tonight for my birthday. So much for my diet this week.

Got up this morning and drove up to Allentown (about an hour and half way to my parents) where I met up with them and had bfast at the cracker barrell Then my dad went back home and my mom came with me so I can drop her off at the airport on my way to work. We had left extra time so had enough time to stop back at my house for about a half hour or so before leaving It's nice that I live 5-10 minutes from the airport, which is also 10 minutes from work

 

So, here are the socks and each pair matches their respective afghans from xmas ..................

I am going to miss everyone here at Our House so much while I am gone Your support, friendship and encouragement mean more to me than I can even put into words. I hope you'll let me jump back in upon my return in March. We do not have a computer or even a phone with Internet access during our trip, so I really will be incomunicado, but I will be thinking of all of you.

 

Julie ~ I hope you and Sam are able to kick this flu out of your systems quickly, and then I will be saying a prayer that you have a useful and informative follow-up appointment with the new specialist. If the chronic "whatever" could be pin-pointed, you would be off-and-running to work towards a plan of management...Just know I am pulling for you

I have to tell someone about my Valentine's gift from DH...I just got back from picking up my new Honda SUV! We have been talking about it, but I didn't think we had made a decision. Yesterday evening, he asked if I wanted to go to Chili's - but he drove into the Honda dealer...he had already made a deal with them and I had three colors to choose from. So I drove my 10 year old Honda over this a.m. and drove out in the new one! I'm still in shock and absolutely love it!

 

Off to the grocery store and to pick up Gracie. Have a good afternoon.

Hiya everyone, just stopping by for a sec but only a sec for since Sean is crawling and standing up he got me on my P's and Q's running around chasing him and praying that he don't fall and hurt himself. I had a nice quiet Valentine Day in which I ended up with three heartfill boxes of chocolate. I guess there goes my diet. Seriously I put two hearts away for safe keeping and so far only ate a few pieces of the other box of chocolates.

We're back from the doctor's office. The visit went fine. I used one of the portable tanks of oxygen for Kim, because she was getting wobbly and winded by the time I had walked her from the bathroom to the car. Her pulse oxygen level was 96 at the doctor's office on the portable unit, so looks like I made a good call. The afternoon is almost shot and so am I. May not start on the quilt until tomorrow at this rate.
