Hi guys

while at the pharmacy, I found the cutest thing, and had to pick it up to use in here . It's a boxfull of questions ...thought it might be fun to drop one in every couple of days .

Here is the first :

What puncuation mark would best describe your personality ?:think

What an interesting question- that I need to think about- so I guess it would be a question mark!!!:think:think:think:think (also I do ask a lot of questions)

Hi all,

Glad that Dusti could stop by before heading out to beautiful Hawaii!

Marisa- Cracker Barrel for breakfast? Oh, you lucky girl!!! I love Cracker Barrel!!!! :drool

Cheeria- Glad you stopped by- and I can only imagine what your days are like running after Sean!! Take it easy, ok?

Julie- I'll be saying some prayers that maybe this new specialist can figure out what it is that is going on and then a plan of care can be started . Hope that Sam didn't overdo it by going into work today. Men can be so stubborn sometimes!:yes

Linda- It's a good thing that you gave Kim the o2!! enjoy your dinner out with Rosie and John.

Judy- I can see lots of grass finally (ok, it's brown and ugly, but it's not WHITE stuff)

Cindy- hope you had a good day at work!!!

Off to make dinner- BBL

Yeah - your grass sounds just like mine:lol

Phil was able to throw Saprkie's ball to him in the yard today - first time in months that there was solid ground under the poor dog's feet so he could run!:lol

Linda, I hope Kim has had an uneventful afternoon.:hug

For my question, I'd have to be a Question Mark too, because I change my mind, moods, etc so often, I dont even know what will happen next . So definitely a question mark for me .

Kiyo

How exciting ! We wanna be some of the first to hear all about it,and SEE it ,so get a camera fired up for a photo!

Good evening ladies :hi

Well, mom made it safely to Phoenix :clap:yay

Work went really fast today, but that's because I worked on putting my office back together from when it got painted :eek I was waiting for them to put the carpet in so I can just do everything all at once, but who knows when that'll happen :think They just had my new shelves put up last week, so I was able to get rid of a couple little tables and organize much better and use the space more efficiently :yes Almost done now :D

Thanks for all the compliments on the socks, I was happy with how they turned out :yes

As for the punctuation mark :think :think :think Just to be different, I'm going to choose '&' because it's just kinda weird, curvy, and kinda fun :rofl

Linda - Sorry Kim was getting winded quickly, good call on the oxygen :h5 (I was looking for a pat on the back smiley, but couldn't find on :( )

Dusti - I know your gone already, but still want to send some well wishes your way and I hope your trip to Hawaii is/was uneventful :D

Mary - :yay:clap:bounce:woo Like the other ladies, what color did you get? Did you get the CR-V?

Cheeria - I know Sean has you busy over there :lol

Joanne - It sure is amazing what I could do with a deadline, don't give me one though and it's rough :lol It also helps when it's for someone else :lol I just love, love, love cracker barrell :blush

Good evening everyone. It wasn't quite as busy at work today as yesterday, but I'm still exhausted. I'm not used to working 12 hour shifts.

Mary, What a terrific Valentines gift. What color did you choose?

Cheeria, sounds like your grandson keeps you hopping. And three boxes of chocolates!

Julie, hope Sam feels much better tomorrow. Hope this new doctor can figure out what's going on and figure out a treatment plan.

Dusti, I know you are [probably in beautiful Hawaii by now, Hope you have a wonderful relaxing month over there.

Marisa, those socks really turned out well. Hope your mom arrived at your brother's place safely.

Kiyo, hope you and Aree enjoyed your "date". And how exciting...the possibility of a ring! (you'd better finish that doily....you know....just in case......)

Linda, sorry that Kim's doctors appointment wore both of you out. Have fun at dinner.

I don't know what punctuation mark I am, at this moment it certainly isn't anything perky!

I think I'll choose the squiggle ~~~ sometimes up and sometimes down but always hanging in there.

HI! HI! HIIIIII! How are you all today?! Sooooo....... work has been good today! Wooo hoooo! And......taking my little lady out to see Justin Bieber movie. Nothing beats this date! And......don't want to get too excited but.....got asked my ring size today???? hmmmm.........

Ooooooooooooo.............Sounds interesting.

Had a wonderful supper at Golden Corral with John and Rosie. Has lots of good stuff including blueberry pie and chocolate frosted chocolate cake. :devil

Then ran to WalMart and ended up with 4 long-sleeved tops that were on clearance for $3 each. That beats GoodWill.

Heading downstairs now. Have a good evening, everyone. :manyheart

Hmmm... I think I'd have to go with a tilde (~) for my punctuation mark as well. I've mainly seen it used to indicate about (ie ~12), but out of curiosity just looked up its meaning in Wikipedia and found that it has many, many other uses as well. Which makes it even better as I'm so undefinable! *grin*

Marisa

I'm glad you are starting to get things reorganized in your office now ,and also glad your mom made it on her trip safely. Hope she enjoys her visit !

Cindy

Hope the 12 hour shifts arent too rough to adjust to . The only time I worked longer than 8 hours was many years back when I still worked at the hospital (on 3rd shift) and we got a huge snostorm during the night .Lots of dayshift people called off since they couldnt get there ,so they asked many of us to stay and work days too. I did ok til about lunchtime, then started running LOW on power .

Linda

I'm glad you had a good dinner and also found some bargain shirts. I love finding bargains. Much more satisfying to me than paying full price !

Hi Faile

You are pretty doggone smart . I never knew what this little thing (~) was called ! Thanks for telling us ! And that is a good choice to pick I think . I like it because it 's cute .

Not much new here, still crouping my head off.Sam is already doing well, and just coughs a little bit once in awhile, but he is ablw to work, and it doesnt seem to affect him much ,so thankfully he got a lighter case of it .

I started reading our book for our Combo group yesterday,so at least I got that started .

Hope you all have a great day !

This one really got me to thinking .It was on the outside of the package ,and I have been trying to figure out what my answer would be,and STILL havent come up with one ,so it will be interesting to see what you guys pick :

If you could have 50 pounds of anything, not including money (or YARN ) ,what would you ask for ?

**I added the yarn part, because I figured you'd all pick that .:lol

You are absolutely right- I surely would have chosen yarn!:lol:lol:lol

But since yarn isn't an option, I'll go with 50 lbs of coffee!!!!:mug

Good morning!

Julie- Glad to hear that Sam is feeling better and hope you kick this cold/flu/cough/croup/whatever out of your system quick!!! Love the questions, BTW!

Linda- Good deal on the shirts- I'm a bargain shopper- never pay full price for anything- love to find good deals!!! Your dinner sounds like fun too! Hope you get in some time today to work on your quilt!

I bordered all the squares for the ninepatch baby blanket- and I am going to make three more squares and make it 4X4 then will join them.

Off to get ready for paradise. Hugs to you ALL!

Good morning everyone.

Joanne, I didn't have to work the 12 hour shifts. I did it because we are so busy. We have a lot of super sick patients who require 1 to 1 nursing care, and we are also full, and the two together create staffing problems. Hope your work day goes well.

I'm still dragging from those 12 hour shifts, so I'm not sure how much I will accomplish today.

As for the 50 pounds of anything question, I'll have to give that some though.

Good morning ladies :hi

Nothing new here since last night. I did however get a pic to my phone of the boys with their blankets and their new socks :D If I get a chance later on, I'll use my phone to get in here and post the pic for y'all to see :manyheart

My sister inquired about 'her' matching socks. I told her she got the original, first pair of socks I ever made :lol She liked that answer :wink

Gotta get going, but I'll be back later.

Good morning, peeps!

Cindy, I hope you make it through today - when your body is acclimated to one set of hours it does rebel when you push it past that...:hug:manyheart

Linda, your post Birthday dinner (desserts:lol) sound wonderful:manyheart

Awwww, Julie, I thought for sure that you'd choose CAKE!

50 pounds of quilt store quilt fabric for me. That's the next best thing to yarn. :lol :lol :lol If I can't have that then it would be 50 pounds of dark chocolate.

Starting the Challenge Quilt is definitely on my list of things to do today. Getting all those little alternating one inch squares going will be the starting point. Then some of the fussy cutting will be next. I was doing research on how to make the hanging sleeve for it yesterday and just about have that all figured out, I think.

I didn't do any 12 hour shifts when I was nursing, but did end up doing doubles (16 hours) on occasion when things were super busy and too many people called in sick. They weren't any fun at all. But when there were patients to take care of and no one to do it you did what had to be done. Plus I was a lot younger then. :D

Hope you all have a good day today. It's supposed to be in the 60s all week here. Love it! Catch you all later. :manyheart

Jude

Perfect answer -- a new pet !

Linda-

I'd love to have a 50 pound cake, but even though it is my favorite dessert, I doubt I could eat 50 pounds of it before it got hard as a rock .Maybe if I froze it and just took out one hunk a day,or maybe 50 pounds of cake MIXES ! They'd last a long time .

The 50 pounds of quilt material would keep you busy for a long time. wonder how much yardage you could get ? I bet a lot !

Good luck today on your start for your new quilt .

Good Morning, everyone. :)

Cheeria ~ I totally understand about Sean's crawling and standing. :lol They sure move fast, don't they? ;) DD has 3 gates up, because they have "step downs" between a couple of rooms. Her cats are not too happy about them. :)

Linda ~ So glad you had a good time with Rosie and John! 50 pounds of quilting fabric would be so cool. :yes

Kiyo ~ How did you all like the movie? My neighbor took three 10 year olds to see it. :eek Inquiring about ring sizes...sounds serious to me! :clap

Marisa ~ Yay for getting your office organized! I'll bet your mom is so excited to see the grandkids. :c9

Joanne ~ Looking forward to seeing your Nine Patch. :hook

Cindy ~ I hope you can relax today and spend some time with your hook. :manyheart

Julie ~ I hope your cold/cough clears up soon. :hug Sam sounds like my DH - he goes to work no matter what!

Thank you for sharing in my excitement about the new truck! It's a Honda Pilot and the color is called Polished Metal (I think)...I call it a rich shade of charcoal gray. :lol The interior is a medium gray.

Puncuation mark????? I think the question mark since it's so hard for me to make decisions. :D

50 pounds...With Spring on its way, I would love 50 pounds of flowers to plant! :flower

Awwww....and would you name him George and hug him and squeeze him?

Have to laugh...last Saturday when I was at the Crochet Club meeting with my cousin and aunt, another attendee was there and she pulled out her phone and showed me a picture of some Newfoundland puppies that were about a day or two old. She and her husband will be getting one when they are ready to leave mom...so she shows the pic to my cousin, whose husband is a major Newfie fan (has had one or two before...) The dogs are ex.pen.sive...but now my cousin is playing with the idea of getting her husband another dog...Newfies are definitely more than 50 pounds though.

So are gsds...:(

Since I'm always afraid of falling and breaking something...and after seeing my xrays, DS has also warned me to be careful... any future furbaby will have to be smaller. Our first dog was a Sheltie - and wonderful. We may go back to the breed.

I was at the vet practice I used to take Susie to and witnessed a litter of Newfies being brought in by 2 women. They carried one in at a time since they were so big! I think they said they were 6 weeks old.

I've met Newfies a couple of times and they are sooo sweet! Their bark, however, can shake a house!:lol
