Let the Decorating Begin

It is my favorite time of the year.

 

Well, I tried something I have never done before, I tried free form crochet. I was looking for a pattern for a nice tree skirt, and came across this pattern. This is the only place I could find the book now.

I found this very interesting and lots of fun. So here is my first attempt of Freeform. Now Santa has some stockings to fill.

They are a combo of thread and yarn. As you can see, they are red, cream, white, sliver and gold. What I liked, was you could make them in any color you like and they will still look good. This free form is sort of fun. Now they are ready to hang on my fireplace.

I wonder how I managed to miss that book?! Seems like I have every other one ever printed! (so says my dh!)
