Fireman Bear

Hello!

For upcoming birthday party, I made the fireman bear from freepatterns.com:

I changed the pattern slightly. I sewed the ears on the head instead of sewing the helmet onto head and ears over both helmet and head. I also cut part of a flavored-water bottle for the face mask part. My thought was if the little boy wanted to sleep w/it, I didn't want him to sleep w/the plastic. And, the color and hat turned out a little bit big, so I knew there would be room for the ears on the head if I did it that way.

It's an Annie's pattern. Mine is from her Favorite Baby Projects book but I've also seen it in a booties pattern book (w/roller skates! and other booties). Here's one on ebay:

Great job on the bear and I was thinking the same thing about omitting the shield (I'm been toying with the idea of making this bear for my nephew...) And your cowboy booties are wonderful...isn't that the greatest pattern? I'm so not into cowboys, but when I saw this pattern (on this site) I was so charmed I made 3 sets of them...one set for a little girl, so the booties were pink and white...
