  1. My two daughters thank you so much for the lovely postcards from Nevada. They really caught me off guard when I checked the mail the other day. It's been about 5 or 6 months since I've been on this site. Plus I think I signed up for RAOK last year some time or even longer. It was a nice surprise that wasn't expected. My girls are only 5 and 6, so getting mail it still a fun thing. Unlike adults, as we usually only get bills.
  2. My husband has requested an afghan with the Chevy bowtie in the middle. I've never done a graphed afghan before and have no idea where to start. I understand that the bowtie is most likely a copyrighted image, but I'm sure I could draw one up myself, for this personal use. My questions: Does anyone know of a pattern already out there with the Chevy bowtie in it? Or anything similar in that nature. ~OR~ Can someone help me or give me a link to get me started in graphing my own? Thank you!
  3. I remember someone or a couple of people posting a baby blanket that had a ribbon interweaved around the border. I have found the Tiramisu Baby Blanket(pdf) at CPC. However for some reason, I thought it was different looking than this one. Is there another pattern like this the Tiramisu one? Thanks for any help or info.
  4. I'm almost done with my current project and want to start a round ripple afghan after this one. I searched on the net and see that there are many different patterns for this afghan. So......If you have made this afghan, which pattern did you use? Were there any problems with the pattern? Etc. Etc. Thank you for your help.
  5. What a bummer. I just found out that she reached her goal tonight. I NEVER got an email tellling me about the sale. This really makes me mad.
  6. Thanks! I plan on placing my order tonight. Or are you interested in selling your copy? Also, how did you like the book?
  7. I checked out the price at my local Books a Million yesterday and they wanted $19.95 for this book. However, they didn't have it in stock, so I couldn't look inside. So the seller is not really "ripping" people off. I'm just a bargain shopper and will always look for something cheaper somewhere else. Thanks for you input. I think it is the same and will probably just buy the one at Amazon.
  8. Does anyone know if the blankets shown in this listing are from this book. The Ebay seller is vague with the description and doesn't say what the name of the book is, but I'm guessing it's Candy Blankies. I like the patterns, but Amazon is cheaper, plus free shipping. Thank you!
  9. I love the Starry Night and think it will be great for a new baby, especially a boy or girl, as I don't know what my cousins are having yet. Can you believe that 3 of my cousins are all due in October? I was shocked that they are all due in the same month. I think I will make this afghan for them all. I'm still undecided on the one for my niece though. Thank you for all your responses.
  10. I can't make up my mind on what baby blanket to make. I want to make 3 baby blankets and one toddler/kid size before winter. Can ya'll show me your favorite and quick blanket patterns you've done before. I saw quick because I don't that the patience/attention span to do one that would take a while. Thanks!
  11. Are you talking about this pattern? I was just wondering the same thing about this one the other day. The model is obviously bigger than the largest size offered in this pattern.
  12. Thanks for all the responses. I'll have to check out some of the sites I haven't heard of before.
  13. I'm curious to see where everyone buys yarn online, who has the best deals, etc. I've only bought yarn online a couple of times and it was off Ebay. I was happy with my purchases, but would like to see some other options. Thank you!
  14. I have 4 baby blankets and one toddler size blanket to make before next winter. I saw this on Herrschners and wonder if this package is a good deal? Does anyone know if they give you a lot of the same colors? Or about how many skeins you get? Thank you!
  15. That is so pretty! I love how the colors seem to bleed into each other and the shell edging looks great!
