My first time with thread! (doily)

Every year I give my grandmum a spring/Easter paper-cutting, but this year I crocheted her one instead. It's the first thing I've ever made from thread. I had to iron it to flatten it, but I think it went okay. I'm definitely giving thread another try eventually.

I found the flower in a 70's magazine, I just changed the edge a bit, because the original flower was one of four for a pillow.
