    Fractal Doily

Thanks for the responses. My problem is indeed "cupping". The part of the instructions about increasing randomly refer to the "vane" sections of the pattern and not the center circle where I'm having the problem. This problem seems to be obvious if the rounds are worked evenly but I can't find anyone experiencing the same issue!!! I've searched on line!!! Oh well, I guess I'll have to wing it.

    Fractal Doily

I've finally begun the fractal doily http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/fractal-2 and the center circle curls because there is no increase on rows 3, 4, 6, 7, 9 and 10. My quandary is that if I increase on these rows I will throw off the final size of the circle and it won't work out when I begin the "vanes". Has anyone else experienced this problem?????
  3. Thanks so much for your input. I wanted to make a "painted" fractal doily and use the size threads that I already have. I've decided to use sewing thread, holding 3 strands together.
  4. I've done an internet search and can't seem to find an answer. Would anyone know if two size 30 threads would equal a size 10 thread? Thanks in advance.
  5. I made this rug from leftover yarn. One strand of black with whatever color I happened to pick up out of the scrap pile. Size "K" hook, Sc one row, dc one row........
  6. Oops... here is the pic.
  7. My DH liked this pattern named "Rendezvous". I can't quite remember where I got it!!!! Done in size 20 Cebelia.
  8. Has anyone used the Lizbeth thread holder? I'm really looking for a way to keep the thread from twisting when it feeds off the ball. I have a holder that the ball sort of dangles off of a hook, but it always tangles on the hook. Maybe I need to enlist DH to make something with a dowel....... Thanks in advance.
  9. WOW that is beautiful. How long did it take you to make?
  10. Here's my Drop in the Pond that I made for my son who is a big Met's fan.
  11. Just got my ebook. Instant gratification!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I just need the time to make one for my DIL for Christmas. Many thanks again for your help.
  12. Many thanks, Nancy. I'm checking them out now.
  13. I'm looking for both books, "Crochet Aran Sweaters" and "More Crocheted Aran Sweaters" by Jane Snedden Peever. Anyone have one they want to sell?
