  2. I am so glad that you posted this, as I've been going a bit crazy trying to find yardage of the threads called for in vintage patterns. I've done a pretty good Google search for yardage charts to no avail. The pattern that I want to begin is for a centerpiece or a tablecloth (if one is so ambitious) and for the centerpiece it calls for: : J&P Coats or Clarks ONT Best Six Cord Mercerized Crochet Cotton, size 30: Small ball: J & P Coats—7 balls of White or Ecru, or any color; or Clarks ONT—11 balls of White or Ecru, or 13 balls of any color.   3. I just started this tree last night and will finish it up tonight. The directions are perfect so no worry. It is truly beautiful and I have a number of people on my Christmas list who will be lucky recipients. Many thanks for the pattern.
  4. Well - - first of all don't EVER feel stupid asking ANYTHING. I've been crocheting for 40+ years and every now and then have to sort of wonder about things especially the way some patterns are written - - hard to figure out what the writer means by "starting stitch" "same stitch" - - stuff like that. I had a pattern that used those two terms back and forth and interchangedly (is that a word:lol?) and just had to figure out what she meant. (This was a second-time writer). Anyway (now that I've rambled on).... yeah, you just do what you feel is logical to you unless the pattern specifies
  5. My WIP's: Cathedral Rose Afghan 18" White Doily 16" Ecru Doily Pink cardigan sweater I'll get the doilies done probably tonight or tomorrow. Then finish that sweater. Soon it will be to warm to wear it!!!
