Coaster Turned Doily

This is my first attempt at a coaster:think but it ended up way too big so I now have a doily. I am working on another "coaster" that is the right size, this time around!!

Kelly, your coaster turned out great. My DH wanted me to make him a coaster to put around his cereal bowl (he likes to eat his cereal in the LR and watch TV. His hand gets cold. I took a coaster pattern and used a light yarn and it turned out perfect. You just never know what you will wind up with sometimes.

Did you ever see Bob Ross on TV ? - he had a painting show (and a big poofy hairdo)....anywho, he used to say "there are no mistakes, only happy little accidents" and that's exactly what I thought of when I read / saw your post...
