Heavy Afgahn

I told a guy at work that I would make him an Afgahn and this is what I came up with. I did it with an P hook and used 3 strands of yarn. I wish my picture colors would come out more true to life, but this is all I can get.

the afgan came out gorgeous - I know what you mean about the colors. If you look close you can see that they are beautiful

Wow! That color is just gorgeous! I have to experiment more with multiple strands and a big hook. I've only done one lapghan that way, but yours is far nicer than mine was. Great job! Patty

Patty, I use a stran of light blue, one of purple, and the last was a varigated with both the other colors plus. I did the Afghan in the pattern of one row of hfdc and one row dc. This made it solid with no holes, which was requested. The only problem that I had at first was figering out where the end of the row was. That still happens, even after crocheting over 40 years.
