Folded Flower lapghan

I just love this folded flower motif from Sheruknitting. 

 

I decided that it would be fairly easy to make it into a square and so we have this flowery lapghan for one of our seasoned citizens.

 

I don't know why I decided to lots of colours instead of just one.  I do like that multi look but I find it hard to put together enough colours (like I don't have a room full of yarn   )

It really does look just like a garden! It looks as though it would have taken a lot of time to make. I'm surprised that it was a quick project.
