Hi everyone and thanks so much for caring! I'm still at work...shhhhhh....I'll get in trouble if they see I'm online!

 

She had a 5 minute meltdown but after that, she was great! She had to get it out of her and then she did as she needed! Afterward, she said she liked her teacher, she gave the place a thumbs up and was excited to have a locker and a desk of her own!

 

We'll see how she is tomorrow but for today - WOOT!!!

Hi everyone! Glad everyone is ok from the earthquake. Now to make sure you all stay safe from the hurricane!

 

Tonight I'll be making "tupcakes" for little one's birthday tomorrow. He was supposed to get to help but he's got a date with his momma's boss lady--their going out for yogurt ice cream. So I'll get to do it all myself (which will go much quicker ). He's been singing Happy Birthday to me all week--he's excited about his birthday.

 

It's still hot (temp shows 107 on my computer weather program, so we probably broke another record ).

 

I have to get some cleaning done tonight and without my little helper, I just might get something done--vacuuming, laundry, and sometime I need to go the store for groceries! My son won't be coming this weekend, he'll come next weekend.

 

Mama K - Glad things went ok today. It will get easier as she gets used to it.

 

Sue - hope things are going well your way.

 

Tonya - hope you hear positive news from your interview.

 

Ann - hope you're doing well and got to crochet some today.

 

Toni - hope your get your connection problems fixed soon.

Missed my morning check in- but I didn't get up until the alarm went off and then I hit the snooze button!!! Haven't done that in a very l o n g time!!! So once I got up I didn't have time to get on the computer.

 

The weather here was glorious!!! Too bad the Hurricane is heading up the coast- Stay safe to those of you in the Hurricane's path!!! It's not supposed to hit our coast till Sunday- and who knows maybe Irene will veer out to sea? One can hope!!!

well ladies im back.....had a long HOT day (car has no a/c.....

 

DG gad an appointment this afternoon at 1 pm (supposedly) we didnt get to see the dr til 2:30!!!

dr decided to send DH to yet anpther specialist IN ST LOUIS......AAACCCKKK! but at least now were getting somewhere i think.....dr we were at today said something to the effect of something torn that holds hip where its supposed to be...idk what he said it was i was fuming at the time...they want you there on time but dont give a rip when they get in to see you.

after appointment went to hobby lobby and walmart. got 5 skeins of yarn...still need 1. was not so nicely told at walmart i couldnt use the family restroom because (as the snippy cleaning person put it) i JUST started ckeaning it! i was thinking you just started it so stop long enough for me to go before i explode! needless to say they lost my business. went to kroger to use their restroom and some woman iwth a cartload of kids seen me barreling towards the family restroom/handicapp and nearly pushed me out of my chair to get to the restroom first. now mind you kroger has 2 restrooms. you cnat tell me she couldnt have went and found the other one! so i went and found th eother one barely in time did what needed doing and politely went and waited on her to come out of the other restroom....i asked her if she could read to which she replied yes and i showed her hte handicapp sign and all i got was sorry (snippy to boot)

"Tupcakes" is how he says it. Have them all baked and they are cooling. Will probably frost them in the morning and put on the deocrations. If we have time (and I'm sure we will make time), we'll stop and get a few party favors (the hats and things you blow--I know the teachers will just LOVE me!!). I finally found a big yellow truck that he's been talking about wanting. I even found a small one too.

 

The director at the day care also makes cakes and she's doing his birthday cake. It will have a large Mater (a Disney character from the Cars movies--just in case you don't have little ones) truck on it and the 3 will be a road. I hope he likes it. He really wanted the big yellow truck on it but the truck is too big to go on the cake.

 

Ducky - sorry you had such a bad day:hug:hug I hope tomorrow will be better for you. Take some time to crochet!

Well good morning all! Ann, we should have called each other - DD got me up at 3 am. "Mommie, I have a really really really bad tummy ache." "You are fine." But the 'damage' was done and although she went back to sleep, I did not. I'm wiped out this morning. I didn't sleep well before my 3 am awakening anyway! ARGH!

 

Thanks for all the kind thoughts about today....this is the real 'test'. A full day at school. For me, I hope my boss has an off site meeting so I can sleep at my desk! No I'm not kidding!
