Good Morning! I'm still here...just no time for the computer. :( Gracie appears to be fine now, but we are to finish the antibiotics and keep a close eye on her. :) Our next door neighbor passed away, so neighbors have been taking food, etc. The neighbor across the street was arrested for trying to kill her husband.:eek All of this in the last 2 days on our usually very quiet street!

Take care, everyone. :manyheart I'll try and catch up after another trip to the store and casseroles are in the oven.

Good morning ladies :hi

I didn't leave the office last night until 10 :eek But I got all of my stuff together. Now it just needs to be packed up for transporting. I watched last nights American Idol this morning before heading in. I'm meeting Ingrid at the mall at 3:45ish to bring our stuff in, then she has to drive Averie to dance and will then come back and another mother will bring her home after. The event is 5-8 so :xfin that there's a great turnout.

Judy - The pups are so cute and having such fun playing together :yes Too funny with the vet, I guess that happens pretty frequently there :lol

Joanne - :yay for Ryan crawling and I would have loved to see him fiddling with those sunglasses trying to get them off :lol

Marlene - My parents did get to see my sil and niece a bit. They picked her up from the airport and saw them during the weekend as well. They leave on Saturday so I'm sure my parents will be driving her to the airport again (her parents never offer :shrug BUT my parents love to do it anyway :yes ) I'm glad you got time with Payton and Jocelyn :yay So sorry to hear about MIL, I sure hope she continues to feel better :hug

Val - Another post to join the many we've all sent into cyber space :lol

Mary - Wow! Sorry to hear about your neighbor passing away and the extra drama of the other one trying to kill her dh :eek:hug Oh dear :ohdear

Good afternoon Housemates!!!

I'm going to try again to post!

Julie - Where are you? I hope you doing okay! Lifting you up in prayer!:hug

Mary - Sorry about the death of your neighbor and the added drama of the neighbor trying to commit murder. I hope things settle down in the neighborhood.:hug

Cindy - I hope things are going well for you and your sister. I'm sending you both hugs because I know it must be painful.:hug:hug I still have to clean out my mom's room in the house (20 years in October). We never changed her room. It's a must now that several of us are planning to move back.

Marlene - Enjoy your cousins and aunt because time spent with family is priceless. I'm glad your MIL is doing okay. I'll keep her lifted up in prayer. Yes, my sister could work for another part of AT&T if she can find an opening. She is looking.

Joanne - Sorry it was rough in Paradise yesterday. Hopefully, today is better. At least you had a great ending, "Ryan."

Marisa - Yes, my sister will get a package but nothing like what she'd get is she could get that last year. She relocated here (GA) 1 1/2 year ago after the closed the yellow page office in Alabama trying to get all of her time in. I'm wishing you much success this evening with your mall excursion. Let us know how it goes.

Linda - Hope you had a restful Wednesday and that you're feeling better today! Don't over due it regardless of what John says.:hug

Thank you guys for your well wishes in regard to my church member and my sister. It's good to have friends to share life with.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Hi again. :) Yes, it's been just like a "Lifetime" movie around here. Police cars are gone - they went door to door yesterday and this a.m. to ask questions. Since we really didn't know the people, I had no idea things were that bad!

DD and Luke came over this a.m. and stayed for lunch. :) They are going back to South Padre Island for a week and are leaving Saturday morning. I'll miss Little Guy...but know they'll have a great time!

I finished cooking for the neighbors and now need to think about our dinner! Maybe I can steal 30 minutes with my hook and yarn. :hook

So sorry I haven't been keeping up with you all too well :manyheart...hopefully things will slow down for a while.

Hi all,

Mary- It sure does seem like a "lifetime movie" in your neighborhood! Hope it settles down really quickly.

Val- Paradise was better today. I am trying so hard to take it one day at a time- but some days are just so crazy and impossible for one person to do all that is required! Looking forward to a lazy, relaxing evening!

Marissa- Hope that the mall event is a success!!! Can't wait to hear how it went!

The timer for the oven just went off, so I'd better go get the meatloaf out of the oven!!

Have a good night one and all!

Hello everyone. We got home an hour or so ago. We got a lot done, but there is still work to do. My brothers will need to go through my dad's tools and the stuff in the garage. We donated a lot of stuff, but the furniture is still all there, and quite a bit of the household stuff as well. We'll work on it again in a few weeks.

I quickly skimmed through what I missed while I was gone, and Mary's post sure caught my attention., Sounds like a soap opera in your neighborhood!

Good morning~

Cindy- Glad you made it home- It is not an easy task having to clean out a parent's home. I vividly remember having to clean out my childhood home after my Dad passed away- it's hard, especially when we saw how much stuff my Mom had saved --

Linda, Judy, Julie, Val, Tab,Rebby, Marisa, Mary, Marlene- and everyone- have a wonderful Friday!!!!

Good morning everyone. Its going to be a boring day of laundry and cleaning here today.

I have to work this weekend, and I have an all day class to teach on Monday, so today needs to be productive.

The only additional thing I need to fit in, is to go pick my car up at the shop. Dh always wonders if my Blazer is worth putting money into, since it's 14 years old. However, it runs very well, looks really good, and only has 108,000 miles on it. Its probably worth next to nothing on the market, but for $600 both the heater and the air-conditioner were fixed, (neither worked at all), a new motor was installed for the rear wiper, and a few leaky hoses were replaced. That's only a few months of car payments.

Anyhow...back to the housework....

Good morning. I'm exhausted. Not sleeping well in the space that no longer feels like mine since pretty much all my stuff is gone. Rosie's John came over this morning and helped my empty more drawers of STUFF, much of which hasn't been used in years and years, if ever. I am sooooo TIRED! 4 or 5 more cabinets to go through yet today. And he calls ME a packrat! The man outdoes my in spades!!!!

Good news on another front. The manager for the apartment complex that I was hoping to get into just called and they have an apartment for me that will be available on the 10th of July!!!!!!!! :c9 It's 2nd floor instead of 1st floor, but that really doesn't matter. In 2 more months I can be out of here! :clap :clap :clap :clap And 2 weeks of that time I'll be with my DD and grandson.

It fluffed up really nicely and a lot of the inconsistency isn't nearly as noticeable now. There are a few spots where I can tell that it's under plied, but overall looks pretty darned good for my first yarn!

Congratulations! :cheer

guess which one is the pesky Lucy!:lol

Gorgeous pictures of Lucy and Sparky. I'm sure that vets see urine running down the walls with fair regularity. Glad it's clear. :lol

Glad you accomplished so much, Cindy. I know what you mean about keeping a car that's paid for and still runs well. Mine is 17 years old with just 160,000 miles on it and certainly gets me around town safely. The occasional repairs are far less than monthly car payments.

I know that there was more I meant to comment on, but I can't remember what all I meant to say. Sorry. Hope you all have a good Friday and a marvelous weekend. :manyheart:hug

Hello Housemates!

Mary - I hope you got some crochet time yesterday. You probably needed it to calm your nerves after all that neighborhood drama.

Joanne - Glad Paradise was better for you yesterday. I hope you're having a good day today as well. Did you have your lazy, relaxing evening?

Cindy -Glad you made it home safely. As the saying goes, "Rome wasn't built in a day," so take your time clearing your parents home. I'm glad you have siblings to help you. I agree with you on not having a car payment for 6 years!

Marisa - Can't wait to hear about last evening at the mall.

Linda - Good to hear from you. I thought you were caregiver...not maid. I'm glad you've gotten an apartment. We can definitely see light at the end of the tunnel. Hope you feel better. Rest when you can!:hug

Judy, Julie, Tab, Marlene, Rebby, Kel, Kelly, Phyllis and the rest of the housemates...have a great day!!!

Good afternoon ladies :hi

I think the mall event was a success. There was a lot of people there. I'm not sure what exactly I expected, but I surely didn't expect that well of a turnout :clap:yay We got my name out to a lot of people and gave out a lot of gift certificates as well....probably around 120. We gave them to the other vendors too :yes Afterwards, we went to the Cheesecake Factory and had a cocktail and some appetizers and I brought a piece of carrotcake cheesecake home :drool

We were put in a great location right near the entrance and the way they had it set up was in a circle, which kind of made everyone there see everything. I was between the casino and a guy from the fish market with food out :D There was also a guy from a distillery that makes vodka from potatoes and it was very smooth.

Now just a waiting game to see what kind of turnover we get from this :xfin

I must have been tired because I did sleep in this morning until 10 :eek And I still felt tired. I did my laundry and decided to check my messages at the office and the guy from the distillery called to see if he can come in today :yay:clap (He was complaining last night of some issues) so he came in at 2 and now I have another coming at 6, but she's from our neighborhood and not from the event.....so that's 2 new patients today :clap:yay I'm up to 19 total now :D

My mom is getting some quality time in with SIL and my niece since Wednesday :D They were shopping yesterday and my mom bought her glittery sneakers that light up and she keeps stomping her foot to look at the lights :manyheart

Val - It really went great :yes I hope your sister ends up making our alright :hug

Mary - I sure hope things calm down in your neighborhood there :eek I know you'll miss Luke while he's gone, but just focus on him coming home :yes

Joanne - I love meatloaf :yes I suggested it one day and my sister turned up her nose so I guess I won't have any until I get back into my own place :(

Cindy - Glad to hear you made progress at your parents condo :hug I hope you're getting as much done today as you want to :xfin

Linda - I have so many choice words about John, yet again....but, keep your eyes on the prize and your new apt in 2 months :clap I'm so glad they called about the one you really wanted to get into :yay

Judy - I hope your appt went well this morning.

I hope y'all are having a great friday. I'll try to get back in before heading out for the day :yes

Marisa....my scoliosis is 34.1% (or 32.1? )...and I'm doing pain management unless the symptoms become worse or my quality of life begins to really suffer....

Doc was good - an ortho specialist in this. Out of network, but for the visit and xray today we will get some money back from the insurance company once they get the bill.

We had a great time at Rutgers Gardens- it was such a beautiful day out. DD's MIL joined us as well. I picked out some perennials, some basil and a few geraniums. Went to pay, and DD bought them for me for Mother's Day! She also bought what her MIL had picked out. Gotta love that girl!!!

We went back to the house and my SIL's brother and father were there and they were cooking burgers and hot dogs on the grill. Had a nice lunch, Ryan went up for his nap, I came home and did my planting.

I'm going to go sit outside in a few and enjoy the gentle breezes and sunshine and read for a bit! What a perfect day!!!

Good for you Joanne. You need to get some relaxation in. I've decided to bet back to weaving the ends on the houndstooth ghan...got to have it finished before the end of the month.

Glad you had a good time today!

Cloudy here...expecting rain tomorrow!

Happy Mothers' Day, everyone. To those of you who aren't moms or don't have moms any more, I'm sure you all made your own mothers proud of you in your own special way.

My youngest went out to get his oil changed this morning, and he came home with a big smile and an edible arrangement for me! I couldn't thinkof of a better gift. And I am grateful to have three wonderful kids.
