I just love this rug, in fact I'm in the process of making a larger

area rug to match it. Its just straight across single crochet, how

easy is that? :D

it was just 3 yarns, the brown, the off-white and the multi-color.

I really like working with the chunky yarns.

I have been wanting to crochet some rugs for my home as all the floors are ceramic tile. Just curious how long this took you to complete and what size hook you used? It is beautiful.

It only took me a couple weeks of about a couple hours a day, I used

the Bernat Softee Chunky yarn and a size K hook. The fringe was probably

the most time consuming cause I had to make them all the same size and

make sure I put them all in on the same side and each fringe matched the

color row it was in. I never made anything with fringe before. The area

rug is the exact same color pattern except each panel of color is a couple

rows wider.

Thanks for the compliments, I'm loving the rugs and have so many more in

my head to make. :-) now, if I could just find a multi color chunky in a

burgundy/navy, that would be my next one! or forest green! or chocolate

brown!, oh, wait, I'm getting way ahead of myself, lol

Great Job! I like to make rugs. They are so easy and they're great. They wash up nice and easy. Alot better then the store bought ones with the rubber backing that falls apart....yuck. I made a rug set for the bathroom and have bought yarn to make some more rugs but can't find the time right now. I'm taking knitting classes and have 2 or three other crochet projects that I'm working besides.....at least I have the yarn for when I'm ready.
