I haven't finished the handles yet.

I'm thinking about using the store bought kind

if I can find them in either clear or white plastic.

 

I combined 2 patterns with small modifications to fit my needs...(omitted last round on the snowflake)

 

 

the patterns were:

This tote uses 13 squares, I used leftover cotton from my other tote

and ran out of red so I had to make 3 squares all white

When you posted a little while back that you were looking for a snowflake square to make a tote bag, I thought, "I have to do that!! I can make an H bag!"

I haven't gotten to a yarn store yet, though.

I'm definitely going to be making one soon! I hope to find the white yarn with metallic glitter in it for the snowflakes.

I am so glad you posted this and the link to the pattern! I bought some crochet stuff at a yard sale and inside were several of these squares (in red and white) but they weren't all finished and I thought they would make a great H bag if I could finish them.
